"I love coming to this fountain to sketch and paint either the statue or the cathedral of learning. It’s a very beautiful fountain and a very quiet place to sit and think. There’s a helpful informational sign that gives you a little bit of history of the fountain and some pictures from the past. Definitely consider coming here for the splendid views and tranquility."
"Fun fact about this sculpture... the sculptor was Victor David Brenner, the same guy who did the US Penny (the famous "1909 S VDB"). This is a beautiful place to just hang out, watch people go by, and relax."
"I'm a big fan of this fountain. There are benches around the fountain for you to sit and relax and enjoy the fountain or you can sit in the wide smooth edge of it and in most parts not even get splashed a little bit. Feel free too dip your feet and cool off, not sure if that's allowed but it's certainly enjoyable and as long as you're not wading or swimming in it no one will bother you."
