"I didn't go here to eat but can't wait until I do. I actually had to go here because my business across the street needed change and they were there to save the day due to banks being closed. They were very nice and respectful and helped me out. So 10/10 recommend. I'll let you know about the food when I go"
"Drove over from Erie, heard some good things. Wanted to try breakfast but too late.I am sure there is some notice somewhere but i didnt see it. Was told could not order yet because cook left the restaurant and not sure what is happening. Hope they are ok,never heard that one before. They did bring a comp sweet roll over to help with the wait. After 15 minutes was able to order. I got Fish Fry haddock. Not bad but was very greasy. Menu on line says $14 something was $20. Understand menu on site was outdated but how hard to drop a correct photo? I will come again and try breakfast, hopefully a better experience. Peace"
"Absolutely love Meeders - and have for literally decades. The service is great, and we often have Phillip waiting on us. He is extremely nice, hardworking and really cares about the customers. Have NEVER had a bad meal here and the pies are delicious. While we are living in different times, the prices have jumped a great deal. We appreciate the fact that is noted on a sign as you come in, which explains the situation in an up-front way. It may have been on the menu, but we were a bit surprised about not only the degree of the prices increases, but then additional charges to each cheeseburger: Lettuce - $0.50 Tomato - $0.50 Onion - $0.69 Lunch for two: 2 Cheeseburgers/Fries 1 Cup of Soup 2 Pies a la mode 2 Waters Total: $44.89 (2 Seniors) Might be good to simply add the typical items you might put on a cheeseburger to the regular price. Perhaps it’s just a psychological thing, but the increased prices, coupled with additional charges/amounts actually doesn’t look good. Paying an additional $1.38 for one slice of onion on a couple of cheeseburgers, might send an unintended message. We have seen restaurants that will do these kinds of things, and it sends the wrong message. Another place where we dined often, literally charged $1.00 for a glass of water. Had they simply increased prices on the food to what was needed for them to properly run the business, they would’ve been fine - but they actually lost a lot of business and subsequently closed. There were many complaints about that specific things. Perhaps they were trying to simply do the right thing in order to handle the costs, but the way they did it, hurt them. People are disappointed at the prices, in general. That is just a fact of life at this time. It’s less a matter of that fact, and more of an issue of how it can be handled and not create further aggravation, and the word of mouth that goes along with it. It’s just an issue of optics, that can be easily fixed. We always tip well as we always have a great experience. Sending along this feedback as a suggestion in hopes it’s helpful. The place is like home to us, we love the food, service and hometown experience - and the pie!!!"
"Just go if you haven't been! The dining room is old, ignore it and look past it! Its clean! I still gave it 5 stars because the atmosphere includes the fun vibe of owners and staff and coolers full of homemade desserts. Food is homemade and really good. Love breakfast here, especially blueberry pancakes and potatoe pancakes. Warm cinnamon buns are the best! And try the grilled cheese pizza sandwichs. Or.. just go for dessert. Have an event? Pick up a homemade pie and you can bake it at home, or buy one ready! Prices are absolutely lower than anywhere ! The owners need us all to eat there more often. Times are tough! This is one of the last places to eat in the area! Please go here !!!"
