Reviews of Riding Meadow Park
"Wonderful off leash dog trails! There is a parking lot across the street. If you prefer a flat gravel/grass trail go straight or to the left when you enter the gate. If you prefer some hills follow the trail labeled with the green arrow on the right. The trails connect for a loop that is about 2.5 miles."
"I'm so excited about Fox Chapel Borough Parks commitment to stream bank protections and native plantings. Fifty Buttonbush, twenty-five Ninebark and twenty-five Winterberries planted over the weekend will help with erosion control, while contributing benefits to pollinators, birds and wildlife. The tree protection tubes act as little greenhouses during root establishment in the first few years of growth. The plants are densely planted to establish a durable network of roots to help prevent future wash outs of the trail. Great park for off leash fun. Very popular Park, great fall color this time of year, and much loved by area dogs. Many hands working together makes for beautiful community spaces! Thank you to our park volunteers, Parks Commissioner Carrie Casey, Councilmember Mandy Steele and a special thank you to Sanford Leuba for the plant donations as part of the Pennsylvania 10 Million Trees initiative and in celebration of Reparian Buffer Month (October)."
"I have no clue how this park doesn’t have 5 stars all around and I’m confused who gave it 1 star. This is the best dog park in Pittsburgh. It’s trails and a creek and dogs are free to roam all over. It’s a dream. You do need a permit to park though… also I guess if your dog is a runner and doesn’t listen well to you it may be hard to find him since the dog has so much freedom to roam.. it’s literally like a hike in the woods with your dog who is actually allowed to be off leash it’s the best"
"Beautiful dog park close to the city but makes you feel like you are out in the country. The dogs can be off leash and there are plenty of trails and creek spots for the puppers to swim."
"A wonderful off-leash dog park that doesn't feel like a dog park at all! There are lots of hiking trails, creeks, and open areas for dogs to play. (Note: It's not good for dogs who have bad recall as it's not fenced in on all sides and there are a lot of places for a dog to hide.)"
