"The Parotta kuruma was ok. But the Pongal came without chutney or sambar. The Pongal was also cold. This is the first time I ordered and didn’t know I had to specify sambar and chutney for Pongal. The dhal was also cold and thick. I wouldn’t call this a great experience but had to be ok for a quick lunch between a busy Sunday schedule. Could have been better."

"This is my first time trying HSB in the NOVA region, and I thought the place delivered to some extent. I tried the medu vada, kothu parotta, parotta kurma , and urundai curry. Except Urundai curry (which is a South Indian delicacy), all other dishes were spot on. The vadas were soft, crispy, and delicious. The sambar was bit on the daal consistency and lacked tang, but decent. Of all the items, parotta kurma was the definitely the best, and I recommend it. Overall, if you are craving for South Indian comfort vegetarian food, I recommend HSB."

"Ridiculous! ordered 3 garlic naans - each cost $2.49. Each naan measured 7 inches in length and 2 or 3 inches in width!!! They cut one naan into 4 small pieces and gave it as the ones I ordered!!! This is NOT good."

"I have been a regular customer here for over a year now. I am a vegetarian and this restaurant is purely vegetarian as well. They have tons of options on their menu and I usually get the 5 day meals here. The quality and quantity of the food is commendable. Their service is great. Every time I go here, I am warmly welcomed by south Indians who are very friendly. The place has take out and no dine-in option. I have been to a lot of similar restaurants, but most of them cannot compare to here in terms of pricing."

"Very much disappointed, Thali which we bought earlier and today (09/24) Their quality and quantity both are went down below average. Used to get full rice of brown box now getting half , curries quantity and quality went down ! Please avoid Thali here . Yellow photo you see that Moore kulambu - water mixed with turmeric . Instead thali go something else good enough babies. Chapthi - used to give two now changed to one ! Total waste of money."
