Reviews of Rock Point Boat Club
"Great float trip down from Bevington boat launch. We had a great time on the water and having access to the Boat Club was a big bonus!!"
"4/18/23 turn at the blue rock park boat club sign, about 1/2 mile drive from route 288 down a gravel road closed oct - march, open dawn to dusk april - sept., i didnt see any restrooms or porta potties, it was pretty, but was muddy from the recent rain__there was a house and some outbuilding but i dont know if that was private property, park building ?? , not many signs, the boat launch was locked, easy to launch a kayak but not a bigger motor boat. It says no bear hunting, so i would watch out for bears, lots of pretty birds, and flowers in spring."
"drove down with a friend to go walk on the bridge and appreciate nature and take pictures. we then got cussed out by multiple angry old men telling us we cant be here, we will get locked in, cussing at us, and we silently walked to the car and they proceeded to scream at two teenaged girls, asking “you dont speak?” even when i quietly apologized and we ran to our car. we had parked the car nowhere near the house, and they proceeded to scream at us. we were not doing anything and it was daytime. getting cussed out by old men wearing “keep calm and carry guns” shirts when we were visibly teenaged girls was terrifying. we wont let that stop us from appreciating nature and coming back to a place we have every right to be at."
"I've heard great things about this place but have only gotten to see so much. Many old structures exist and allowing the public to launch kayaks is very nice. Its nice and secluded too, a bit off the beaten path. Could be a nice spot for a hike, but I'd inquire with the club first. There is private land nearby."
"Fantastic place to explore. There are still remnants of the amusement park that was very popular here from 1885 to 1912."
