"The seafood boil is the best seafood I had. I don’t usually order seafood because it’s hit or miss but Gnam gnam seafood hasn’t missed. You get so much premium food just around $30."
"I had a seafood boil delivered from Gnam Gnam last night and everything was amazing ! I got the shrimp, Dungeness crab, Maryland crab and it came with sausage, potatoes and corn. The masala sauce was delicious and the bag was so filling it was enough for at least 4 ppl to share. The price was so good I couldn’t believe we got so much food. Also I can tell from putting my order in that the owner/chef was very customer oriented. He added supplies that made clean up very simple. I will definitely be ordering from here again."
"This is a new place inside Global Grill Take-Out. Look for the Caribbean food signs, no real signage for Gnam Gnam, but all the restaurants share the same entrance (carry-out only). We dropped in early on a Sunday to check the place out. We make a point of trying every Burmese restaurant in the MD/VA/PA area, so when this popped up on Google, we had to go. Since it was early, the full menu wasn't available, but we were able to order the Mon Hin Khar (Mohinga (fish soup)) and Gyin Thoke (ginger salad). Portions were generous, broth for the Mohinga tasted clean and traditional, a good amount of fish included. It was on par with the other restaurants we have tried. (Mohinga is one of the traditional dishes of Burma, and as such, people often have their own flavor/variation that they prefer, so we judge it based on what other places in the area might serve). The ginger salad was fresh and delicious. The ingredients were packaged separately in the container. (If you've never had ginger salad before, this might be a bit confusing. Recommend mixing all the ingredients together and letting it sit for a few minutes before eating so the flavors from the oil, ginger, and lime have a chance to meld). All and all, this was a good experience. We met the owner (who is also the chef) and because we had to wait a bit, he gave us some freebies, which he didn't have to do at all (we were fine with the wait). Next time we want to try the other salad and some of the fried rice dishes. Now that we are more familiar with the restaurant and location, we would probably also order ahead online to bypass any waiting. Hope this place will be able to expand in terms of hours and some more traditional Burmese dishes soon."
