"Always great food here - everything was hot, delicious and beautifully presented. We, unfortunately, ate our meals too fast, so we didn't get a chance to take a picture. The service never disappoints either - they have a very polite and kind hostess, plus just never had a bad waiter here. Really neat place to check out! Beautiful views during the season!"
"Great place to go for small lunch plate. Service was great, and the oyster sandwich was delicious and not over cooked. Only drawback was I had to keep poking them back into the bun, maybe a fritter style would be easier to handle not being on a hoagie bun. The twist on the fried green tomatoes having pimento cheese was a big hit at the table too."
"Great atmosphere! Grady was our server and was absolutely excellent. We started with the crabby spring rolls. SO GOOD! They were gooey and crabby with the punch of the aioli and we will totally order those again! My partner got the crab cakes and I got the bacon meatloaf. Our salads were divine with very fresh greens, slivered onions, carrots and a cherry tomato. The homemade creamy Italian dressing was lovely. My partners crab cakes were indeed made with love, but both of our green beans were inedible. I love green beans but these were merely shown the pan and were super crunchy. As a farm girl I love fresh green beans, but these were barely warmed. Grady was gracious enough to take them back to the kitchen, and I NEVER send things back. Ever. He brought me a new dish of eight green beans and they were no different. Very disappointed in that part, sadly. My meatloaf was delightful but the gravy was too sweet. It was a confusing combination of meatloaf with bacon, great mashed potatoes and a sweet gravy that unfortunately did not pull the ingredients together. The sunset and really nice weather offset the weirdness of the green beans and gravy, and the Sting Rae was a fantastic drink! We will absolutely ask for Grady’s section again but hope the green beans will be cooked to at least a temp (after sending them back once and having no change) that is not fresh off the vine."
"Wonderfully quaint little food destination on the eastern shore . Easy to find and well worth the visit. Located inside a historic mercantile business that once served the water community in Onacock. You enter through the original store which pays homage to its role by keeping the place intact and creating a small museum in it. The restaurant's dining area is nicely situated with fresh, nautical colors of blue and white. There is a unobtrusive bar and a kitchen service window that borders the room. Seating outside near the water is available. Our food came quickly and was hot and fresh. We both ordered & enjoyed the crab cakes which had a nice crusty outside and tender, meat filled interior. I had mine as a salad on a bed of fresh mixed greens and red onions. I chosed the buttermilk & garlic dressing and was very pleased. We liked the quiet, yet busy atmosphere and the simple elevation of dining at The Millards."
