"I asked for burgundy hair and showed her a picture and she proceeds to tell me she needs to bleach it to do it. It was not the right shade of red at all. My highlights there were bad and another time I asked to go back to my natural color and she dyes my hair black, my natural hair color is dark brown…. I only went there because it was cheap but I’ve learned my lesson. A haircut from there isn’t bad though."

"My hairstylist was PAINFUL, made me feel insecure about my hair, and it’s not evenly cut. My hair is longer on the left side of my head by INCHES. I’m assuming this is because I came in 30minutes before she got off and just didn’t care about what she was doing. She kept talking about how my hair is tangly like it was funny (I have wavy/curly hair so of course). She made sure to let me know that her detangling fee was $15, and said she wouldn’t charge me for it. So idk if Hair Cuttery prices went up or if she lied to me about it. She didn’t wet my hair or use detangler to make it less painful for me. I wish I could take back my tip, and I will never return."

I had gone to Alexandria and tried a few other places nearby only to be over processed, have hair damage, or bad hair cuts. Then I found Mimi. She listened, took my insight, pics, and guided me the whole way. My long bob with red lights were precisely what I needed to feel like myself again. My hair has been so effortless to maintain and super healthy. She was humorous, supportive, warm, prompt, and professional. Her knowledge was outstanding. The whole staff unit was a family atmosphere. I am now happy to say I found my stylist for life. Mimi; so glad I found her. This place is a gem among the thorns. Definitely go to Waldorf HC."
