"Due to its proximity with to 95, road noise permeates much of the trail system. The green loop is the best one, in my opinion. This section feels a little more secluded with the river rapids and hills making you forget the nearby car traffic. There are also easy access spots to the river if you want to fish, relax, or let your dogs go nuts. As far as suburban trails go, these are pretty good. Did the green, red, and yellow loop which was about 3.5 miles and gained 350 feet in elevation. The trails are well maintained but there are some extra rocky spots and climbs, so decent shoes would help. Parking lot has room for maybe 15 cars."
"Quiet trails that loop all the way down to the river. lots of neat cutaways and made trails supplements the typical trail routes. Everything is well marked and clear. The parking lot is small, but generally people stay for about an hour and a half so it opens up pretty quickly. The porta-potty has been well maintained each time I've had the need."
"I had the pleasure of exploring these trails that wind alongside the Little Patuxent river and the historic B&O rail tracks, and I must say, it was a nature enthusiast's dream. The beauty of nature, combined with the rich history of the railroad, made for a truly captivating journey. The sound of the river's gentle flow provided a soothing backdrop to the hike, while the rail tracks reminded me of Maryland’s rich history. I highly recommend this trail to anyone seeking a delightful blend of nature and history in one picturesque setting."
"It's one of my favorite trails in the area with a few loops that allow me to switch it up each time I go. I love going there all seasons of the year and take my dog for a quick hike. The trail is well maintained and there is a bathroom in the lot. Parking in busy days is very limited, but people overflow park on the side of the main road. They really ought to build a bigger lot, though."
"The trail is 4 stars but the parking is a 3 (I think I counted 12 +1 handicap accessible parking spaces). I went early at 9am so I was able to find the last spot left for parking. I've been twice and haven't walked all the trails yet, so you can go multiple times and try out new territory. The main trails are wide and gently sloping. The small, thin branching trails are thickly wooded, steep and offer a great workout because of the hill, albeit they're short. There's a couple of quirky things to see like remnants of a stone quarry (walls, cut blocks in odd places) plus a wind phone. Go find it and talk to your deceased loved ones."
