Reviews of Jemistry Hair Studio
"I’ve been going to Jemi for years and now that I have my micro mini locs in rotation I am hooked and loc’d for life. Jemi and Viva are an amazing team and I feel like family and feel like I’m hanging out with my other big sisters. They have outstanding customer service and I will continue coming back. I can’t wait for my wedding day cause they will be there too making sure I’m tight and right. I would refer anyone to them, so make sure you have hair as a line item on your budget cause they are totally worth it."
"Jemi provided exceptional service. She’s so welcoming and very professional."
"Just now writing this review. I visited to get a partial relaxer in November 2022 and they gave me a full permanently straight relaxer. I have been in the process of growing out my hair since then to fix their heat damage. I see lots of positive reviews here which is odd considering my very first visit (not the time I got my hair burnt), they made me wait 4 hours. I haven't had good experiences, obviously. Do better. EDIT: laughing at the response from the owner who emphatically declares that I'm a bot to dismiss my comment and dissolve herself from ownership. Dana Falls serviced me multiple times at this location. Try again, owner. ChatGPT doesn't write like this. Future clients, go ahead and check my past reviews. Multiple 4 and 5 star reviews (and 1 or 2 star reviews) for various businesses. The owner is angry that I am relaying my experience. EDIT 2: if you really do not care Jemi, then why are you responding to me? If this isn't about you, then why are there aggressive undertones in your responses? And why did you delete your previous response to me? You should have left it up so that your current and prospective clients can read the history of our conversation. A couple of your claims: I don't have a business so Google reviews could not possibly validate my existence. I originally decided not to leave a review because I thought it was genuinely an accident because I had been serviced by Dana before (now I'm thinking it was probably purposeful). Like I told Dana (who sent me a nasty texts), I was recently looking for more hair services and this business was listed and I remembered my experience. Both of you are just unable to accept criticism and will seek to discredit me at every turn. You seem to think I want your business to fail and am "troubled" by your business. If I wanted to truly damage your business there are other means outside of typing Google reviews. You have my contact information from Dana, you can text me and we can hash this out. You want to come across as pompous and unbothered and as having the "last laugh." Your responses reflect more on you as a person than on me. EDIT 3: The business I entered does not say Dana Falls Hair Studio. It says Jemistry Hair Studio. As such, I leave a review for Jemistry. If Jemistry allows independent contractors to work out of their space attached to the Jemistry name, understand the risks that come with that. I have no idea why you think I'm badgering your business. I left a review this week, the week of September 6, 2023. My last interaction with your salon was November 2022. And yet you think I'm so deeply troubled that your business is thriving? I thought of your business on a whim this week. I'm not fixated. Regardless, since you want proof that my hair is indeed burnt/damaged I will add pictures once I remove my cornrows several weeks from now to substantiate my claim. However you may continue to insist that my claims are fruitless and baseless. To answer your question: why wasn't this addressed at the time of service or immediately after? Because I received the partial relaxer and then had Dana straighten my hair with a flat iron afterwards (which was my normal style at the time). I kept my hair straight for 7+ weeks. Upon washing my hair it was only then that I noticed the damage. My hair was damaged in mid-November 2022 and I only realized this in early January 2023. By then it was too late and nothing could be done. And when I now decide to say something via Google review, I'm personally texted and insulted and you continue to insinuate that I'm a liar. You dropped my legal name, presumably in an attempt to get me to back down and delete my comment. My name isn't top secret information, so I don't care. You never serviced me, Dana did. You received my information from Dana and decided to publish it on the web. Who does that unless very angry? Think about that. You do not know me and never spoke to me yet coordinated with Dana to get my information and put it online. Please talk some more about courtesy. You need to work on your professionalism."
"I come for reties because I have sisterlocks. Ms. Lisa and Jemi are super professional and very fast. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in your own hope and they are so hospitable."
