"it's a fun and challenging Golf Course. Walden exceeds your expectations!"
"Today, my family and I were told to leave the practice area because there was a private event going on. Mind you, there was no one else on the practice green. This is a public course. I’ve never been asked to leave a practice area, regardless of the events taking place on the course. Up until today, I played this course about twice a week. And now, I will never return nor recommend this course to anyone else. Way to grow the game!"
"First off, whoever the management team is, they've got to lighten up a little bit. I bought a round for 18 holes back in January, and only finished 9 holes due to weather. I got a rain check for 9 holes. No big deal. I call them today, and tell them that I've got a 9 hole rain check that I'd like to use this afternoon since the weather is real nice for February, but I can't be there until 3:30. The response: "Last tee time is 2:50, even for 9 holes. Sorry." Then I was hung up on. Great way to conduct business. I call them back thinking I lost service or something. Different person answers. I get the same response about my question. So I ask that If I show up at 2:50 to play my 9 hole rain check, what time the carts have to be in. She tells me 5PM! How can you possibly sell tee times at 2:50, and request carts in by 5? No one is playing 9 holes in an 1:10 unless they're REALLY flying and playing solo. Ridiculous. The sun doesn't even set until 5:37 PM today. I don't know what Walden is trying to achieve by creating these policies and not offering a bit of accommodation. Its pretty disappointing to be honest, as its a great track, relatively affordable, and pretty close to where I live. I suppose I'll have to wait to burn up my rain check some other time, and take my business to Bay Hills or Eisenhower next time. Damn shame. I hope management rethinks this silly new "our way or the highway" mentality. It won't pay off long term, I promise you."
"Not a bad course at all. There are some challenging holes that if you go too far right or left your ball is gone. Definitely lost a couple! Greens ran pretty true. The only drawback was no driving range. Bar and grill was good and the staff was good. Good price for the level of course and amenities. Sorry only took picks of drinking the cold beer afterwards. ;)"
"I was very surprised to see reviews from last year saying that the course was in bad shape. I played the front nine yesterday while I had some time to kill in the area, and thought it was a beautiful course and in great shape. And I think I only paid $27 with a cart, so it was excellent value. I’ll definitely be back. I’ll agree with others that this is a challenging course, so not great for beginners. Some holes are very narrow, and there are several significant water hazards (see photo, which I think is tee box on 8). My only complaint is that I found teeing off from the blues on hole 9 very difficult, as tree overhang from the left leaves a very small shot window, as there are also trees up on the right. I was lucky to get my second tee shot in play. Would be good to cut back the trees on the left."
