Reviews of Ethiopic Restaurant
"This place was so good. I almost never think to leave a review but I had to for this place. I went for Restaurant Week January 2024 and the menu was truly fantastic. The sambusas and stew were delicious and I loved that everything was served with injera bread. Honey wine was sweet but not overly so and I liked the carbonation. For the main I had the short ribs which were truly to die for and the dessert souffle also knocked it out of the park! Every single thing they brought out was just fantastic. The dining experience was also smooth and service was regular without being overbearing. I also appreciated that there is an automatic 20% service fee, so you don’t feel obligated to tip (although I did, because it was that good). Truly not a single thing to complain about and I will definitely be going back. Hats off to the Ethiopic Restaurant staff!"
"We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Ethiopic, and it was perfect in every way. The food was delicious, among the most delicious I have had. The service was wonderful, so friendly. The ambience was just lovely. The decorations were beautiful, calming. I can't wait until out next visit! Also, they were kid friendly but with a grown up atmosphere....do not have enough nice things to say!"
"Best Ethiopian food I've had in forever. Don't forget to wash your hands before dinner! Lighting is also a little dim in the evening, so us old folks might have a need of a little pocket light, lol. Staff was very friendly and constantly circulated with beverages and to make sure we had everything we needed, including bringing us plenty of bread. The service was quite good! Flavors were perfectly spiced, and the variety of the sampler platter was fantastic. Fish was also deliciously seasoned."
"We were on a food crawl so shared the veggie sampler for one and it was still a lot of food for 4! We had it with the fried fish. Yellow lentils, red lentils, greens, potatoes, fresh tomatoes and njara. Some of the best Ethiopian food I’ve had. I didn’t have it, but my friend said the coffee was just like in Ethiopia. My only issue is out fish (a part of the same dish…we didn’t order a second dish) came like 15, 20 minutes later, when we were just about done. It was fresh and hot but took way too long. Not enough to derail a positive review."
"The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was very friendly! We got two plates of samplers for two, I was pretty big and you got to take little crepes (injera) and scoop the samplers. Great experience to eat with your fingers. The food was not too spicy but tasteful. Portions were large and we took a box of leftovers with us. The vegetarian samplers was to die for. Gratuities are included in the bill and the staff from this family owned business is highly professional. Background music was enjoyable (from the golden years of Ethiopian jazz)."
