"I went there the women owner was nice but when I ask her to do my hair a certain way she said her braider could do the bob style plate. My hair has been done for two days it’s starting to come out. And I paid for one length in it was short. My braids are different sizes I will not come back again EVER. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN"
"I had a 10:00 appointment on Saturday morning and Mane was waiting when I arrived at 9:57 for Senegalese twists. She started promptly on my hair and the other stylist assisted once she came in as her client was running behind. Mane did a wonderful job and the twists are not tight and painful. Her price was very reasonable and included the hair! Thank you very much and I will be back when my hair grows out and it's time to redo a few twists to make the style last."
"I have been coming here since I was 16 yrs old. That was 20 yrs ago. They are very nice, and work fast! Another thing for me is, while they do braid tight, they don't rip your edges out in the process so when you take your braids out, your edges are cool. Never had a bad experience here! But if your looking for decor, this isn't the place for you. It's a braiding shop, what do you expect, it's hair everywhere."
"I had a horrible hair experience at her salon. Mane styled my hair. I walked into the shop and her hair looked like a complete afterthought which should have been my first sign. Hair was included which was good but homegurl doesn't know what it means to listen to customers. She had a card in the shop saying they accept visa but when I asked she said cash only. She told me you go down the alley to find one.... It was a crack head alley....why would she let new risk my life?! She starts doing my hair and is taking on the phone the whole time and playing shows in no English. Which honestly I really didn't care too much about. I told her I wanted big sections she said my hair is too thick and there's no way. I told her how to do it.( and honestly that would have saved her time anyway!) Then I showed her how I wanted the hair styled and she braided my hair trying to immulate it but burns off my hair in the process. My hair is a decant length and I got this as a protective hairstyle before a trip. She braided my hair so look tight and when I asked her not to braid as tight she says okay and proceeds to do it even tighter!! Then when she was finishing up getting ready to burn the ends I asked her to let me know where my hair ended and she couldn't answer me. This other random girl started cutting all of the fly aways with school scissors....my real hair included. So mane proceeded to bring out her candle to burn the ends and included mine in there. I told her to stop and tell me where my hair was and how she knew where ti burn and she ignored me. The icing on the cake... She took a huge flame and started at the root of my hair down to the tip..... She claimed it wasn't my hair but my hair starts at the root of my hair and based on the way she styled it went down to the tips which she also proceed to burn. Bottom line: if you could give less about the state of your hair, if you could care less about your scalp, if you could care less about having someone listening to your directions this is the place for you. It was funny because when I got in it was almost as is she's never met a black woman with healthy hair before.... She is a hair killer. My head is burning right now I'm about to take all of these out. And I'm tempted to call the better business Bureau on her. It was unacceptable she is in there trying to do anything for a dollar."
