Reviews of bangbop
"I got my hopes too high when I saw vegan options on the menu. Impossible bulgogi?? Sign me up...I thought. We ordered the spicy pork kimbap, the impossible bao, and the inferno bibimbap. While my partner enjoyed the bibimbap, I hated both the spicy pork kimbap and impossible bao. The impossible bao was supposed to be bulgogi flavored but I would never taste this and associate it as anything remotely bulgogi related. it was just a lot of ground beef and took up way too much of the bao. The kimchi on top is what saved it from being completely trashed. The spicy pork kimbap was also bad, was more like two hand rolls and the vegetables were only in the top inch of the roll. After that it was only spicy pork and rice. It also didn't have any of the traditional kimbap veggies so I was disappointed."
"Apparently you order pick up your food from the rack then leave or if the weather is good, eat outside. DC’s finest. Some random chef gave me and my family some freshly fried pork skins"
"Always yummy. I usually get their bulgogi cheesesteak and 4 banchan pack but decided to switch it up. This time I got the pork belly bossam box, bulgogi dumplings, and spicy pork kimbap. Everything tasted great. Pork belly is was my favorite, good portion size and all the sides were very fresh."
"We recently tried this new family-owned spot in Brookland. They have a variety of options, including buns, bao, wings, some creative pizzas, as well as a variety of bibimbap options with an emphasis on sustainably sourced ingredients. Our meals were filling with great flavors, we'll definitely be back when we want quick takeout! Love that they have options to take the flavors of bibimbap and turn it into a salad, plus some dishes with impossible meat as well as vegetarian options."
