"Do not get the Bohemian braids!!! The hair they use is VERY LOW quality!!! It tangles the next day!!! I paid them an extra $40 for what the owner told me was “human hair” the worker slipped up and said “human blend.” In my opinion it was neither!!! The hair was NAPPY!! I can’t wear my braids down because they are literally tangled!! NEVER AGAIN Response to Owner: Your shop NEVER offered me the option to bring my own hair (I have the text from our booking). Also customers beware. The owner said over the phone that my hair would be $180 and after all of the hidden fees I paid close to $300."

"This is the second time that I’ve gotten my medium knotless braids done here. The first time I had a good experience. The only issue was the arguing. This time…i’m quite disappointed. Being pregnant, my skin/scalp has become dry. Which is why I am getting a protective style. My stylist told me more than 5 times that my skin was dry. After the first time, you do NOT need to keep repeating it to make me feel bad about myself. Another thing that made me upset was overcharging me. I asked for medium BUTT LENGTH knotless braids. They charged me $30 extra because the stylist braided it even longer than what I asked for. Mind you she checked my length on the 5th braid she did. They all go by what the owner says and it’s ridiculous that she charged me more. You need to make sure your stylists know what length they are supposed to braid to. It felt like a lie/scam to me as a customer."

"My experience was fine, not the best but far from the worst. It was easy to book an appointment and they were able to do the style I requested. The price was a little more than I expected but not too unreasonable. My only complaint is the pain. I asked for cornrows with knotless braids in the back. The knotless braids did not hurt. The cornrows did. I asked the braider not to braid too tight and she told me that it would be painful if I wanted the braids to last. That is not true & I hate that they push that LIE. You can braid without hurting the client and the style will last. The tension causes your hair to fall out, especially your edges. We went back and forth about it and she eased up a bit but not enough. I will never go back. In fact, I’m done with African Hair Braiding. It’s quick and easy to get an appointment and you’re done fairly quick but it’s not worth sacrificing the health of my hair. Beware."
