"I was late for my appointment by 17 minutes because of a car accident and traffic. While I was in the car I called to let them know. Rather than try to be understanding and work something out, they told me while I was stuck in traffic that if I was more than 15 minutes late they would cancel my appointment. I told them that was ridiculous because I had two services and I had booked an extra 15 minutes onto my cut and color appointment (2 hr total) because I was a new customer and I wasn’t sure if they would need more time. But that didn’t matter. I didn’t use any derogatory language - I simply expressed how upsetting that was especially since I was calling ahead of my appointment time to let them know. The assistant kept putting me on hold and going back and forth while I was trying to drive there so I told her I was driving and couldn’t argue about this right now and to wait and see what time i actually made it there. I was 17 minutes late, 2 minutes past their grace period. My sister in law is a regular here and couldn’t believe how poorly they treated me. After I arrived, they cancelled BOTH of my appointments because I was upset that I had driven almost an hour to have them cancel one of them. They said since we weren’t “meshing” they would cancel my second service too. My (white) sister in law said she’s been late for appointments and they never treated her like that before. We BOTH won’t be back and we’re going to tell our friends."
