"A large picture of a group of black chefs is outside on the window and on the menu. It was extremely shocking to see 2 Asian men come from the back. This establishment is not black owned as they would like you to belie and it shows in the food. Yes the chefs are black but the food is void of soul and flavor. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for great soul food."

"When I came to the area years ago this was always the place I went for pretty good soul food. However I went a few days ago, got a plate and was underwhelmed. The green beans were good. The ribs taste like mystery meat in bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese is why I’m making this review. It was gross. Tasted like flour and pasta. All Mac and no cheese flavor. If I tasted it while blindfolded I would have thought someone was giving me stage 1 baby food. Very sad this seems to be the norm from looking at other reviews."

"I have come here once a month for years now but have reduced my patronage due to the cashier and her service. She always picks up the phone like she has an attitude and rushes you through your order. Not to mention, in person, you can tell she just either doesn't like her job or she just doesn't know what good customer service is. As for the desert, all of the cakes are as dry as the cashier's attitude."
