Reviews of Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge - Hutchinson Unit
"Given how subjective hiking is, I am hesitant to rate this. So I will only be factual and not mention the horse flies. (Oh, I guess I just mentioned them) The refuge offers a very nice trail network with good signage. Parking is limited and a bit restrictive, but it is a wildlife refuge. Trail maintenance is great. Pay attention to the various units associated with this refuge as they are not necessarily close to one another. The total length of available trails in any one unit is no more than 2 miles or so. Depending on your expectations, that may be a relief or a disappointment. Pets are NOT allowed. It is a wildlife refuge."
"Beautiful trails and river space. Maps are available at the entrance and it's a one lane road so please be careful when making your way to the boat ramp."
"Beautiful scenery and great fishing with a relaxing walk afterwards great fun for all ages not to mention the wonderful animals of nature my family and I have seen beavers and rabbits not to mention the many different birds great for afternoon get away to unwind but don't take my word for it go out and see for yourself"
