"We really wanted to like it. Especially knowing the success these new owners have had in the Annapolis restaurant scene. This spot has had a hard time finding success over the years. I feel it really needs something special and different, besides it's awesome outdoor deck bar and views of some very cool boats, to pull people down to it's out of the way location. So my review of the staff is they are young, inexperienced but nice and accommodating. The bartender did not know how to make a Margarita without sour mix. Our Brussel sprout app never came. The food was average to mediocre. The menu was very limited, no specials, so we got the smash burger and the chicken sandwich. Very average. The prices are fair and perhaps, like a lot of new restaurants, Beacon just needs to find it's rhythm. It seems like it relies too much on the location and no one is giving that needed effort to the food, decor or making the place special."

"The scenery is gorgeous. I love the music selections for the outside area. I didn’t have a great dining experience, but there is room for growth and improvements which is a plus. The service wasn’t the best, the drinks were weak and the food was bland. The chef cooks “Sous Vide” style, which can leave the chicken with a tender, red tint in color, to the bone. However the Jerk BBQ sauce was delicious with the seasonings and toppings."

"We had lunch at Beacon today--our first time back at this location since before the pandemic. This is about the prettiest dockside dining spot in Annapolis, and there is plenty of dedicated parking, unlike downtown. We ate outside, on a beautiful day. The shrimp & corn chowder gets an A+. I had the Beacon salad, which was tasty too. My husband had the crab cake sandwich, which was a nice tall crabcake. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Don't miss this place."

"I attended a sparkling wine dinner last week at this facility and what a little gem this place turned out to be! Venue is quaint and inviting; Service was stellar! Everyone was so genuinely kind! The regular menu boasts perfected versions of seafood staples. For the dinner, guests had the pleasure of experiencing the range of Chef Matt’s craft, as he wowed guests with plates featuring veal, filet mignon, and scallops. I have never encountered a Chef who personally comes out to talk to us about each course, but his detailed relayal made the food feel far more personal and relevant to its designated wine pairing. Bravo to Chef Matt! Will definitely venture back out here to enjoy a bayside dinner and watch the sunset. Useful advice: this venue is located inside a Marina. Be prepared to approach a parking tenant and be sure to ask about the location of the restaurant because GPS gets funky in this realm as well. You’ll need to know which direction to go in!"
