Red Lobster

"My mother and I have gone to this red lobster on occasion and the food has been decent and depending on the server the service is okay. But this experience recently was the worst we’ve had in a while. Our server was someone who should be put back into training (although he bragged about having server experience elsewhere, hard to believe) because he did not know what he was doing, 3 days is not enough. He had just a few other tables and actually treated them better than us. Rarely showed his face at our table, didn’t check in and hardly acknowledged us. We had to wait 10min just for silverware from another server to eat our salad. The entrees took about 45min because he had forgotten to put the order. We had ordered the moment he brought the drinks too and I guess he never put it in and came a second time (20min after we ate the salads) to “confirm” he got it right but it was a ploy. He also used excuses like the salmon was taking long that it takes awhile to cook (15-17min for a medium salmon). It was odd that he got every other tables order right and only forgot ours? And after the whole ordeal he clearly was upset and had an attitude as if it were our fault. The manager was nice enough, offered 20% (should’ve taken a meal off because my meal was missing an ingredient) but she handled it well. What’s funny is that he didn’t even give us a bag for our to go food while everyone else did, the cherry on top. He should be taken off the floor and properly trained. If he couldn’t handle something why not ask for help? There were so many ways to handle this situation and he picked the worse ones, not clear from someone who has “experience” elsewhere. It ruined our night after having a rough day. We hope to go back and not have him because the food was decent enough. Date (1/31/24, 7pm)."

"The food was excellent and I got my money's worth of the garlic shrimp. The service was in a lot more training. The appetizer arrived after our food without any apologies from anyone. They did not clear the dirty dishes when they brought us replacements on all you could eat. Not our waiter, but two of the staff had an attitude and the didn't mind letting us know it."

"The last few times I’ve been to this Red Lobster, I’ve noticed the quality has declined significantly. On our most recent visit, while our server was extremely attentive and very nice, our other experiences weren’t so good. At first it was extremely hot in the back room where we were seated, but then someone must have just turned off the heat because it got very cold quickly. There was something very wrong with the music in the restaurant, it kept cutting out or getting really loud again and this happened for probably a good 30-45 minutes. The food was mostly fine. I got the shrimp and scallop skewers. The scallops were really good, the shrimp were a little tough. The rice they were served on tasted off, and my “premium side” Mac and cheese came out lukewarm. Not what I expect for the prices. The brownie overboard was really good though. There are just so many better seafood restaurants in Annapolis, I don’t think anyone should waste their time here."

"First, at this location, I had an issue with the dish I ordered. I had the Shrimp Your Way (Choose Two) The manager came out and corrected it. Our server was nice and very polite. He kept us laughing during our visit. We will definitely visit again."

"Had another great dining experience today. I had the Ultimate Feast and a 20oz adult beverage...both were awesome! I really enjoyed the atmosphere because the bartenders were really interactive and the NFL football game I wanted to watch was on the TV. Service was fast, food was hot and I enjoyed my meal and was able to head out and take care of the rest of the errands I was running for the day! Kudos to the staff!"
