"Second visit. The waiter was really stressed. He seemed to be covering half the dining room. We were a party of four. When he first came to the table, I asked if he can do separate checks. At first he seemed reluctant but then told me he would figure it out later. They were busy. The dining room was full. But it did take a while for our food to come out. My chicken picatta was not very hot. I wasn't about to send it back, they probably would have just put it in the microwave. When we were leaving one of our friends said they thought their entree was good but could have been hotter. My wife's entree was steaming so I know hers was ok. One out of four. There was a food runner going to tables and trying to deliver food. He brought us the same appetizer we had just finished. Then he returned again with entrees before we had ordered. During our time there he went to at least three other tables with the wrong food. I guess they don't number the orders to match the tables. Overall not as good as it was when we were there back in November."
"We went to eat here for the first time and it was a fantastic dining experience. The food and ambience was excellent. But our server, Matt, was the best server we have had just about anywhere. He was courteous, attentive and very informative. He came to check on us the perfect amount of times. Any diner should check out this restaurant and I hope they are lucky enough to have Matt as their server. We will come back!"
"I have visited this restaurant four times since it opened/rebranded, and every time has been excellent. I have been so pleasantly surprised at each visit, and after dinner there last evening, I felt compelled to write a review which I rarely do. The food has been delicious and the service has been friendly and efficient. They have a great little kids menu as well as gluten-free pasta and other dishes for gluten-free eaters. The decor and ambience is modern yet and charming. I am so excited to have this little gem in Cape Saint Claire!"
"Looking for good Italian? GO ELSEWHERE. This is a heinous excuse for an Italian restaurant. Service is poor. Got a Loose Cannon on tap that tasted like a wheat beer, so I assume they don't clean their taps. I asked for another one since it didn't taste right, got the same result. Tried a fried seafood appetizer (shrimp, calamari, and branzino). Didn't eat it all (see pic). Shrimp severely over cooked, and I couldn't even share the experience with my wife because there was only one. Branzino was disgusting so we stopped eating it. Calamari were edible, but definitely chewy and just not tasty. Good thing we had two huge vats of sauce that were served with it - guess they knew we needed to douse it in something in order to eat it. We mentioned the poor appetizer, which we didn't finish - it cost us about $18. Our entrees were pretty standard, lobster ravioli and pappardelle Bolognese. The ravioli were smothered in a bland cream sauce and topped with what looked like canned crabmeat. The Bolognese was truly awful, tasted like nothing but fatty ground beef. It had cream in the sauce, which is different, but not a speck of onion or garlic or anything else. The pasta itself (handmade) was fine, good bite to it. Glasses of low-level Chardonnay were $11. The whole meal cost two people $100, which is fine for a good Italian restaurant. But that is not this restaurant. This restaurant is awful. Go to Cafe Mezzanotte and pay the same amount, you'll be much happier."
"Kinda off the beaten path. Kind of a hole in the wall (at least the exterior) but this place is a real gem. It is well worth any effort to get there. My salmon was outstanding, I wanted to order another piece. I sampled items from other plates at my table and I suffered from food envy at every sample. This place is legit for sure. Great service fantastic food. Everyone was on their a-game. I will absolutely go back to this place and bring family and friends. Highly recommended."
