While the Cross-Cut Beef Short Ribs stole the spotlight with its pronounced marinade, the Roseda Farm Coulotte Steak left much to be desired, lacking the distinct beefy flavour. The Banoffee Trifle, a dessert sensation, earned its stripes with a creamy and smooth texture—a highly recommended finale to the meal. "This is the hidden gem brunch in the DC area. Innovative menu, great service, and lovely, warm atmosphere. We arrived on Sunday morning at 10:15 and did not need a reservation, which was a big plus. The restaurant is clean & newly refurbished - upgrade from the old Republic where we used to go. Food: Potato Rosti with Salmon - Absolutely Fantastic! This is just a gorgeous savory dish - with micro greens, cream with chives, yum. French Toast was crunchy and innovative, and this was delicious as well. The mimosas were generous pours - best I’ve seen in the area. The best bonus for me is that there’s a kids menu - many places don’t have that. Will be back - the whiskey selection at the bar looked amazing."

"Came during their opening week. The vibe of the space is comfortable and local-focused which is nice. The staff were buzzing around to keep everyone happy and fed and were very friendly. The real winner is the food. The best way to describe the dishes is layered. The flavors are fresh and clean and each bite brings something new. There is a focus on fish and shellfish. What's also helpful is the small plate focus which allows for variety. We had the potato pancake, the lobster rolls, sourdough, and grilled oysters. It was all amazing. I had two cocktails which were delicious. Great local spot."
