"Rude to anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish. Ok food and terrible service. They dont like black people. Update: I went again for them to do it again. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!!!! Very racist"
"The food was really good and the service was great too. Not the biggest place or the greatest location but most of the time it's the hole in the wall spots you find these authentic amazing dishes. I got the birria and damn it was good, expensive though."
"In the words of Dorothy, “there’s no place like home.” We are from Arizona and have a strong extended family connection in Mexican culture. We KNOW Nana’s food! We know Tia’s food! I am here bringing my son back to college. We took a chance on even entering this restaurant. We have been so spoiled with the best authentic Mexican food from the homes of some of our most special loved ones. When my son and I walked in, the smell…hahaha we both just looked at each other and smiled. We were like, “okay.” Then we saw the plastic containers with the cut up chunks of fruit, the smiles continued. I ordered the Enchiladas en salsa verde and my son ordered the Tacos Burria. I was speechless! When they brought the food on the BEAUTIFUL authentic plates and bowls, that along with the presentation of the food, I knew this was going to be good. It was better than good! With my first taste of the maza of the enchilada I FORGOT I was all the way in DC! I was at Mama Louisa’s and it was 1994! I wanted to run and hug all the cooks back there. I know love when I TASTE it! My heart has been TOUCHED! I’m sorry for anyone who had a bad experience here. This has now become me and my son’s home away from HOME! I can’t wait for the rest of the family to come so we can have dinner here! The food here is REAL! The chefs cook with love! And the prices are right! No need to travel to Mexico just stop over into La Estancia! You WILL NOT regret it! Still feeling BLESSED! Michelle Robinson"
"I took my parents here for lunch and was happy with the delicious authentic Mexican food and the great customer service. We all had chicken tacos that were perfectly portioned, seasoned, and mouth wateringly tasty. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area."
"I really wanted to give this place five stars but unfortunately that’s not happening. I ordered two things I ordered pupusas revueltas, tacos de carne asada y tacos de lengua. tacos de carne asada y tacos de lenguathe reason why I’m giving it two stars isn’t because of the food per se but let’s get to it. The onions and cilantro on the tacos, looked and tasted old. They didn’t look like they were fresh. If you cut onions before and then put them in the refrigerator, you know exactly what I mean. Secondly, the. Tacos de lengua we’re not only cut to big, but they didn’t necessarily clean them properly (if you have ever prepared Cal tongue, you absolutely understand what I’m saying) The pupusa’s were serviceable, but overall all the food needed a little bit of salt. Did I mention that the green hot sauce look and tasted old. It seems like these guys prepare for an extensive amount of time weeks, per se, and let things sit. We will see how I feel in 24 hours. I think the icing on the cake is when my food was brought out in paper plates. That left a sour taste in my mouth because if I’m paying to sit down at a restaurant, I would at the very minimum expect a tray or a plate like you would, at any of these other restaurants. I think I put it all together since I close this place down and I left at 9:10 PM and the cashier along with the Koch left at 9:12 PM. Something about that doesn’t sit right with me. At the end of the day, it feels like the food that is made here is made with no love. It is quite serviceable as in you will eat. It will get full and go home, but you can definitely tell that no one is putting their foot in this food, unfortunately"
