Reviews of CVS Pharmacy
"The problem is understaffed. This is a very busy location, I actually feel sorry for the staff, most of the time it's only one Pharmacist. They do the best they can. As usual a giant corporation not interested in anything but profit."
"Got here 15 minutes before they closed and they had already locked up and wouldn’t let me in. Such lazy employees! Very bad look for CVS"
"Pharmacy employee named Nichelle is cause for serious concern. I do NOT trust this pharmacist Nichelle with medicine/vaccine handling of any kind. She is hostile, angry and verbally abusive towards customers. Two nights ago, I visited CVS for a prescription. I frequented this location. I will not return due to the obscene and offensive event that ensued. I stood at the counter waiting for 5-10 minutes. There were 2 pharmacists, Sade & Nichelle. I was in visible eye shot of them for a long time, they walked past me. No one acknowledged me. They did not at the very least say, “Hello, I’ll be right with you”. So I waited, without saying a word - No problem. Two men arrived and got in line behind me, looking around to see if anybody was working. I turned them and said I’ve been here for 10 minutes and no one has acknowledged me. One of the men said - hello can we get some service here, she’s been waiting for 10min. Nichelle snapped back immediately, that I hadn’t been waiting 10 minutes, I was a liar(?), that she had other things to do, her colleague was in the bathroom and they would be right with us. Immediately after, she begins obnoxiously laughing, talking very loud with her colleagues, and continuing to ignore the line. I was offended by this rude behavior towards a customer. Whether I was waiting 10 seconds or 10 minutes was not the issue. The issue was that no one even acknowledged me for a long time - until ANOTHER customer came in and said something. I began my transaction with Sade, very kind, and she had to move me over the Nichelle’s counter. I go to Nichelle, the woman that called me a liar. I said Hello. She did not respond! I said, are you having a good day. She, in the fakest and most exaggerated way, says I’m doing SO great!! I said, me too. I don’t know what compelled this woman to be SO nasty towards me. Frankly, at her age, and given that she was at work, it was petty, inappropriate and unprofessional, and she should know better. I decided to say that I didn’t appreciate waiting without acknowledgment and her calling me a liar. Before I could even finish my sentence, Nichelle began YELLING at me. Calling me a liar, calling me a clown, saying I looked like a clown, I was a miserable person (?), the worst type of person. I am NOT exaggerating, she was hurling insults at me. I did not know how to respond. I couldn’t help but laugh because I was stunned that she was harassing me. I let her know, calmly, as the employee her duty is to provide customer service and all she had to do was say “I’ll be right with you”. That was beyond her capacity as a CVS pharmacist. She resumed calling me liar, clown, I “looked” like a clown, etc. She was raising her voice, yelling, insulting me. I was shocked. She told me to “get that smile off my face” and threatened to “call security” and “call the police”. The gentlemen customers witnessed her harassment and they asked the other employee Sade, to please work with me instead as I was being verbally harassed by Nichelle. They told Nichelle, this was unprofessional and disgraceful behavior. Nichelle began YELLING at these customers, calling them names, insulting, threatening and cursing at them. I completely ignored Nichelle realizing she was violent and unhinged. Security and the manager came. I explained the situation to the manager and security and they were unphased by Nichelles harassment of customers - as if it was not the first time. In the background of me discussing with the manager, Nichelle is still screaming in a verbal argument with two customers. The manager offered me the corporate number to file a complaint. I never got “kicked out” as she threatened and they gave me a $10 gift card, indicating I wasn’t the problem. He clearly knew she was out of control. Multiple customers witnessed and left the store. One customer told me that she would not trust a person with obvious anger issues to handle medications. I will be moving ALL my prescriptions elsewhere. I went and spent that $10 in Riteaid. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate."
"I’m only giving it two stars because the pharmacists try their best and somehow maintain a good attitude despite being stuck in a rough situation. Kudos to them. This is not their fault. For CVS corporate, this review is zero stars. This pharmacy is significantly understaffed and overwhelmed. I’ve been coming here for two years because it’s the closest one to me, and nothing has improved as far as CVS staffing this pharmacy properly. There’s a lot of turnover in pharmacists and techs and I understand why… it is a very busy place and they have a lot of work to do… usually there is only one person working, maybe two on a good day. That is horrendous. No pharmacy, especially in a large city, should be that understaffed and CVS has done nothing to improve it in the two years I’ve been coming here. It usually takes a couple of DAYS to get my prescriptions when refills are requested (before I moved here I could get prescriptions within two hours or less after initiating the refill request). I have a lot of issues with prescriptions being registered in their system or “findable” which must be an EMR problem, not sure if it’s all CVS or just this one but it’s never happened before until I moved from out of state and its been a pretty common issue here. I have to fill prescriptions once a month so I still need a pharmacy, and while this one is the closest, I’m considering trying to find another one if I can find one that is a little better staffed and thus, more efficient. It’s really stressful not knowing whether or not I will run out of meds each month because the wait is long and the refill process is sometimes a mess. Filling my prescriptions shouldn’t be an anxious thing but it is for me because of this. I give a lot of props to the pharmacy staff here… this does not look like an easy and calm place to work. CVS really needs to do better."
"One pharmacist - overwhelmed, tech staff seems to be hiding, not there or incompetent. Disconnect with their EMR, meds sent often do not show up in their system or partial prescriptions received, they do not notify you that certain medication was not filled because they do not have it. Once they receive the med it’s a hit or miss it might be filled on time or several days later without explanation. That pharmacy is very chaotic and there seems to be no organization and lack of support staff. I suggest you go somewhere else."
