"Walked to the beach and back in about an hour and 20 minutes. Only stayed on the beach for about 20 minutes, combing the beach for fossils. There was a sign that the beach closes at 4pm, but it was not enforced. We left after 4. Lovely and relaxed walk. Really enjoyed it."
"This is definitely on my top 10 trails. We had such a lovely walk and took a million pictures. We traveld along the Red trail that leads to the small beach. I chose this place because I wanted to look for some sea glass while visiting my daughter in Maryland. This adventure was so much more, so much natural beauty along the way. If you are looking for a nice easy trail and enjoy nature photos this is a must. Birds, beaver art, fungi, moss, shells, and we did find a few pieces of sea glass. The trail is well maintained, there were a few places that had water covering the path so a little bit of detours which required balancing on the wooden beams but nothing too serious. I would recommend not wearing your favorite shoes if it recently rained. Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures I took. Enjoy. Happy Trails!!"
"Nice little secluded beach at the end if the red trail. There is a service road that you can take there and back also, with multiple connections to the red trail and vice versa. Both ways are 1.8 miles one way to reach the water. Some decent hilly spots, but nothing too strenuous. We found 1 shark tooth."
"We brought our dog and have a lovely early fall hike on the red trail. The red trail is around 3.6 miles in and out, and is relatively flat. At times the trail includes navigating a boardwalk that follows alongside a marsh. The trail ends at the beach with a view of the cliffs along the water. Beautiful, easy going, well kept trail."
"Let's talk about some of the things I didn't see any reviews for this Calvert cliffs number one it is a two-mile hike to get to the Beach it's relatively easy but it's still two miles if you're not used to walking that far two miles up back 2 miles back. Number two when I went there the fee was $5 they do take debit or credit but they ask you for your ZIP code because they use a phone app to charge your card so if you are uncomfortable with that just bring cash. The hike up to the beach is absolutely beautiful. The beach itself is kind of small but it's okay. The actual Cliff's are closed off to the public. There are so many people there trying to Fossil hunt if that's your thing there's a lot of competition overall it's a beautiful place and I recommend it for anyone who can walk the 4 miles 2 up 2 back the hike is easy hardly no hills mostly flat-ground and bring water"
