Reviews of WOW BAO
"Reason for low star 1: The cashier is too busy to explain, 2: no fried rice at time of order 3: 2 bao and rice 18$ (rice full price) 4: no place to sit"
"Mehhh. I do not recommend it. Food is not very good. Teriyaki Chicken was more like pot roast pulled chicken. Never know how old that's been I'm there. Baos are way overpriced (4$ each) and didn't taste good. As another reviewer said.. better off with Pizza Hut or going down a bit further to Chic-fil-a. The good: They give you a to go bowl, and it's quick in and out. Easy to eat on the plane. It's a newer looking place but not much room to eat inside."
"Adjusting for "airport food credit" and "foreign country ingredient credit", food is not horrible. The atmosphere is good when the airport is not so crowded. Then, the yellow cashier asked me for a tip. If it was an Asian, it would've known what a peasantry it was displaying to the eyes of the real authentic native original natural financially sustainable classic econ-friendly genuine Asian. No shame in asking for a slave compensation when it's not ready to serve any master? So I tipped a little and made just enough mess for it to earn the sTIPend. What a failure who asks for pity money instead of trying to earn more with skills or effort."
"Placed a large order for a variety of options, and ended up with a lot of inedible food that went to the trash. To summarize, for those who don't want the details, I would not buy from Wow Bao again. Overall quality, and quantity was not worth the price. Nothing was any better than what you can buy from the frozen section of your local grocery store or Asian market. The Pork Soup Dumplings were misleading in their name. One would expect to receive an actual soup when ordering this. However, what we received were tiny dumplings sitting in a paper thin layer of broth. The dumplings themselves were undercooked, raw dough in consistency, and tasted foul. After trying one of these, they went in the garbage. The Fried Chicken Bowl, and Kung Pow Chicken Bowl, both with fried rice, equally got the garbage treatment. The fried chicken was dried out, and flavorless. The Kung Pow, on the other hand, had the mushy consistency and look of canned dog food. It too was not good. The rice in both bowls was overcooked, and mushy in texture. The Cream Cheese Rangoon were crunchy, and filled nicely with the sweetened cheese. They were rather enjoyable, but felt like they were missing something, as no traditional dipping sauces, such as Duck or Sweet and Sour were included. The steamed Chicken Pot Stickers were equally delightful. Light, generously filled, but again, lacking any type of dipping sauce to accompany them. The last items we purchased were two of the six pack buns. While these were good, they were not without fault. The buns themselves are incredibly small when compared to the twenty dollar asking price. Further, there was no distinguishing taste between the teriyaki chicken and bbq pork. Blind folded, I would swear they were both the same. The apple and coconut custard buns were also very good, with the apple being my favorite. All were nicely filled, and the buns soft. Overall, I would have fared better buying buns, pot stickers, and Rangoon from the frozen section in my local Asian market for a fraction of the price. My $160.00 order would have only cost me $30.00 going that route, and honestly would have tasted just as good. No value from Wow Bao, and certainly not enough quality."
"I really wanted this place to be amazing, but it does fall a little short. This location is good for sweet bao, but the meat versions had tough hard bits that make you have to take pieces out of your mouth. I like the bowl, but again, the same issue with the meat."
