"It was a nice hike and beautiful scenery at the Potomac River."
"Nice hike through the trails. The mash trail is a little covered by fallen trees"
"Nice state park...I didn't get a chance to drive down the road to the Mount Aventine house because I arrived like 4:30pm.. I will definitely make my way back to tour the home. It was a nice short walk down to the house...which is gorgeous. I ventured around back only to find a LOVELY long cleared trail that lead to the water front. Unfortunately, there isn't much to see or do once you get down there it's basically where the property meets the river."
"We visited Chapman State Park on 9/30/2022. Weather was cloudy and cool but what a lovely park located on the Potomac River. The view from the back porch of the Mansion overlooking the fields and woods and the river was beautiful. We did a loop trail hike that was very enjoyable and passed a huge old tobacco barn still in good shape. We ate our picnic lunch by the Mansion and enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and view. We highly recommend a visit to the Park."
"It was ok. It's not to maintained it seems. You can't really enjoy the beach due to falling wood so be carefull. It covers the beach. It was neat seeing this old plantation tho. Massive estate . Very pretty. Just not maintained. Those trails aren't maintained at all so I stayed out of there. Neat to see tho."
