Reviews of Aquia Pines Camp Resort
"One of the top three worst campgrounds we’ve ever stayed in. Due to the fact there is literally no other place to stay in the area since Prince Wm Forest Campground is undergoing renovations, we had no other choice since I had to work in the area for about a month. Entrance signage is old, hard to see and at night the entrance is virtually impossible to see since the street light that is there does not work. The first thing you see as you drive up to the office is the propane refilling station that is trashy looking, has broken fencing and propane tanks just laying around. The office is located next to the brewery or distillery or whatever it is. There is no map or even a sheet of paper with the camp rules or directions to sites. The roads are not conducive to big rigs as they are tight with overhanging trees. Most of the sites are uneven and the roads have large potholes. Sites are close together and you’re squeezed on top of each other. For water, a hose had been run from the site nearby for us to hook up to. It appears there are a handful of sites that are used for RVrs passing through while the others are mostly locals or long-term workers. We were parked on the freeway side and heard traffic noise. All. The. Time. If you’re unfamiliar with I-95, it’s one of the busiest freeways on the east coast. The other side borders on Rt 1, another majorly busy road. The owner was a bit rude. **In response to the owner's review we did indeed stay at Prince William Forest RV Campground on two different occasions with our 40' fifth wheel. I'm not sure why he thinks differently. We were never informed the dog pen was not allowed and I did not see it anywhere in the rules on the website."
"My husband and I were here for roughly a year. Everett was great and the beer is fantastic! The laundry machines are well maintained, bathroom with showers was always clean. There's a big pool and playground. It was a nice stay and close to so many stores and restaurants. Great location."
"Stayed 1 night. Site was gravel and large; however, the roads to get to our site were very narrow and had a bit of a grade. The bath house was okay, but the water didn't get very hot. The staff was efficient. Laundry room on site, but we did not use it. Couldn't pull in many stations on the TV, and it was hard to get a good signal on our phones."
"My friends come into town to fish the Potomac river and stay in the cabins here. Very nice and secure environment for parking your boat. It's nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be for the few hours they are actually there and not sleeping. I recommend this location to all my out of town fishing friends. (Then they don't stay at my house.)"
"Excellent location close to main interstate 95. It was just overnight stay and had no complaints. Huge bonus after driving for 10 hours they got their own beers! And they were cold and delicious. Friendly service also. Place over all little outdated but no major complaints"
