"Went into the bank on January 3, 2024 and told the teller or Associate (#746)that I wanted to pay off the balance owed in my account for monthly fees ($31.11) because I don't use the account at all. She said she could help me with that, proceeded to take my money, gave me a receipt and even had a conversation with me about her understanding me closing the account because of the fees. But, when checking the account the next day it was actually still open. So, I had to call the Customer Service Line and explain to them that II was told the account was closed upon my request. They checked the account and much NOT to my surprise the account was still open. Now I don't want to say all banks are rip-offs, but this forces me to believe that Bank of America definitely is. I don't know if they train their tellers to lie to you in your face so they can continue to stack fees in an account you don't use or if they just hire shady lying characters, but that was VERY disappointing, and I will NEVER bank with Bank of America again and I recommend no one else does. Every penny matters when you're trying to maintain your finances and it's hurtful for someone that is supposed to protect your money to try to steal it from you!!!"
"The branch is very slow so expect to stand in line for a while. When I was here there was only one teller working and six people waiting in line. They make it clear that customer service means very little. I don't recommend this branch."
"This place is B-U-S-Y. Lots of people coming in to what is a very tiny building. I needed a PIN reset because I'm spacey and have 86 PINs for everything else so naturally I forgot the most important one. Got signed in, seen relatively quickly (book an appointment if you can't always afford to wait, it's a huge help), and got everything taken care of. My biggest complaint is the cramped quarters, but the staff work very hard to keep things moving."
"Horrible customer service. They refused to cash a check that I get every month from my job. I am a contractor and get paid once a month. They told me if I open an account they would cash and deposit it. I would never get an account at this bank if nothing else the fee for cashing a check. The horrible customer service and inability to resolve a basic issue are the major issues! Stay Away!!!!"
"I went there today to try to cash a check. I should have known better than to waste my time at this place. Bank of America is always finding ways not to help you. First, I stand in line to see a teller. There is only one teller available, as another lady who is normally a teller is on the phone dealing with the fact that their front door isn't working properly. Once I finally get to the teller, I am told I need to see a banker before I can cash the check. Convenient! I sit in the waiting area for a few minutes. Someone comes in after me and is dealt with before me. There is no sign-in sheet, so I guess it's just whoever they want to serve first. Awesome! I finally sit down with the banker, and am told that because of the amount of the check, and the fact that not all of the ink matches on the check, they will not be able to cash the check for me. Great! I ask if she can just call the person who wrote me the check and I was told they are not allowed to do that. How is that their policy? Again, they have more ways to tell you no than they do to help you out. I am then asked if I have considered opening an account with them. Why would I open an account with a place that makes things so difficult?? Unreal. Yes, I can just deposit the check into my account using mobile deposit, but I happened to want the cash. So I just wasted 30 minutes of my time because I expected one of the largest banks in the world to be able to honor a check written to me by one of their customers. The check was for about $3200. Yes, more than the average amount. But, um, it is a BANK, right? I wonder, if their $20B bailout check from the government was written in 2 types of ink, would they still have been able to cash it? Anyway, by the time I left, there was a line out the (non-working) door. Good luck, everyone!"
