Reviews of Fort Foote Park
"Lovely place to unwind in nature, it's usually not very crowded and is definitely an underrated park in the area. If you have dogs or anyone who wants to take their shoes off at the shoreline, PLEASE BE CAREFUL though, like at every park here there's trash and litter problems, and dogs have had their feet cut on the beer bottle glass along the shore. If you visit, please encourage your friends and family to pick up their trash so more animals and people don't get hurt!"
"Pleasant interpretive hike with great views of the Potomac River, includes 2 cannons, and a sandy Beach at the trails end."
"Great small park that has a couple 10 inch cannons and a walking path down to the river beach."
"I liked Fort Foote Park. I went there after I visited Fort Washington and Harmony Hall. The 2 big Rodman guns on display at Fort Foote were impressive. The magazine ruins were also interesting. The wharf along the river's edge provided very scenic views of Alexandria and the Potomac."
"Cool little historic location. No playground, but good short hiking. Some of the trail has a steep incline. By the shore, be aware people have either left fishing tackle or it's washed up from the river."
