Progressive Insurance - Claims Office

"Terrible communication for timely issues. Grossly unprofessional in their review and recommendations, poor follow up. I can only imagine how inept they would be if there was a serious claim. Inconsistent reports and found wandering around my property with a camera ! Standing on my porch and photographing the most ridiculous detail and citing " cosmetic " ( actual words on report ) as cause for cancellation. No claims from this Home Owner and shame on you for your questionable business practices. I am yanking my auto policy away from this deplorable company !"

"Progressive does not return phone calls, no follow up on a claim that is now 6 months old. If you are considering them as your insurance, I suggest you look elsewhere. Well 7 months later, we received our claim payment from Progressive BUT only after writing the above review and many phone calls. After they responded to this review did the ball get start rolling and phone calls were made to us to keep us informed, we had to make only one phone to them for final confirmation we'd get final payment. Progressive needs to improve Customer Service/Satisfaction. Thank you Progressive for making it right."

"Worst customer service I have ever seen. Made monthly payment, sold car a week later, and refund sent. I never received it, but someone cashed the check. Called dispute dept. Nobody answers phone, left MULTIPLE messages. No call back. I guess I'm out that $$. Do not insure with them!"

"Was a member for years and then rate kept going up. Called to work something out and try to lower it and they raised my rate during the phone call. Asked them to cancel the renewal and they didn’t cancel and I almost got charged the renewal rate. Had to call 3 times just to have them remove the automatic payments. Horrible company to get insurance. Went to another insurance and saved myself almost $100 a month. Don’t waste your time"

"My son totalled his pickup. The adjuster called to let us know that the value of the vehicle minus the deductible was around $8200.00. and that I could bring the title and pick up the check for that amount on the following Monday. My son was happy with that amount and relieved that he could hopefully get a decent vehicle to replace it since the price of vehicles is currently so high. When I arrived with the title, I was told that they had made a mistake and she couldn't give me the check that had been issued. A few minutes later the head of the claims dept (Rachel) called to tell me they had made a mistake. The adjuster had given me the wrong amount on the phone because no one ordered some report they needed (and apparently no one had noticed this until 5 minutes before I picked up the check?). She informed me that the corrected amount should only be around $6100.00, not the original amount of over $8200.00 -over $2000 less. It all seems a bit suspicious to me and frankly seems like a terrible way to do business. We haven't accepted their settlement amount at this time and aren't quite sure what to do. I wanted to post a review in case anyone should have a similar experience."
