"A coworker of mine said she loves Nick’s, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered French Onion Soup, salad, a filet mignon, Mediterranean rice, and crème brûlée. The soup was good. The filet mignon was not good. It was not “throwing up bad” but it was not worth the $40 at all. In fact, I would be ashamed to serve it. It was flat, dry, and worst of all, cold. Not even warm. It was presented to me at room temperature, and the rice was just as cold. The crème brûlée was edible, nothing special. Dozens of other places in the area blow this place away on steaks. I love steak and was hoping this would be good, but I will probably go to my go-to Black Rock at the mall, for an always-perfect ribeye the next time I go out for dinner. My partner had the prime rib. Also cold and unimpressive. The atmosphere was good. Unlike other Hagerstown restaurants, there were no baseball caps on backwards, no inappropriately loud laughter or conversation, no purposely ripped, too-tight jeans on women who think those rags make them look good, no tank tops, and no exposed chest hair. The clientele actually looked elegant. So, it deserves at least a four for that category. The food, less than mediocre. The best thing I can say is that at least it did not make me sick. The only way I would go back is if someone else was paying and really, really wanted to go there."
"Went for my husband's Christmas party and the dinner was subpar. Had a steak for dinner, asked for medium well and was told it's hard with a large group(understandble). Drinks took forever to come in, no drink menus when we first arrived in the room. This was my first time in Hagerstown and I doubt we'd go back here, not terrible but just not worth the price. Shots alone are insanely priced"
"I was told by a friend to try out Nick's. The food was outstanding. Best seafood outside of Ocean City for me. The Atlantic salmon with asparagus and hollandaise was particularly good. Perfect calamari. Expect a slightly upscale atmosphere, with a lounge that has piano during dinner."
"Hagerstown's famous Nick's Airport Inn is still serving fantastic food. This restaurant has been in business for so many years that it is an important part of Hagerstown's history. Although it's founder, Nick , is part of that history, the restaurant is still striving well. We decided to enjoy a variety of foods instead of an entree The Strawberry Salad is fresh and absolutely delicious ! Alongside the salad, we enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer that is a must try The cream of crab soup was not as tasty as what we enjoy on Maryland's eastern shore. Our dessert was chocolate peanut butter pie that melted in our mouth , WOW ! It has the texture and richness of cheesecake, you must try it. The interior of the restaurant has survived the years well, a timeless decor. The bar still entertains local regulars that stop there after work, before going home which is due to the relaxed, let's talk, atmosphere. The wine list doesn't have the large selection as when Nick was still there, but, our wine was definitely top notch. I highly recommend Nick's Airport Inn, it is the place to go to enjoy good service, good food , and good conversation. I noticed the small ebony grand piano is still there, therefore sometimes a piano player is there, just like old times. This wonderful place is timeless."
"I use to frequent this cozy fine dining restaurant quite a bit . I went there again and was surprised with a Valentine's early dinner I only came short of a 5 star service because in comparison the etiquette of being waited on and cordially from those years have waned . One waitress with a busy schedule at 4pm. There wasn't even a butter knife for my rolls so what the heck , I just used my dinner knife. But food and ambience was excellent"
