"We absolutely loved our visit. The area is beautiful and this little gem was the cherry on top. First off this place is very dog friendly and they brought our dog a fresh bowl of water which was very much appreciated. The food was good for a quick bite and we loved everything we got especially the loaded pork fries.. The hot chocolate was perfect on the chilly day. Service is top notch and this place will make you feel at home and relaxed after a hike around Harper Ferrys."
"Exploring the Rabbit Hole restaurant within Harpers Ferry National Park proved to be a delightful winter experience. The highlight was the translucent plastic bubble-covered Iglu setup in the terrace, providing a warm and cozy ambiance amid December chill. A must-try is asking for the Day's special from the menu – a culinary delight that adds to the unique charm of this scenic dining spot. We tried the french onion soup all cheesy and a treat to the taste buds. The waiter did introduce herself and was very friendly and professional in her service."
"We went to the Rabbit Hole on a chilly Veterans Day Saturday night. If you visit in the fall or winter, make sure you dress warm or bring extra layers, because you might have to sit on their patio, because space inside is sparse. We wanted to sit inside but the host convinced us the patio would be a shorter wait and a suitable option because it is heated. While they try to provide propane heat for their patio, it is not enough to make temps below 50 feel comfortable. The cool breeze off the rivers and between the hills was uncomfortable. The Rabbit Hole seemed enticing from the looks of the menu and reviews. It looked like a cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere, a variety of drinks on tap and in the bottle, and satisfying entrees...so we had to give it a try. We nearly skipped it because the line seemed long earlier in the day as we walked around town. At dinner the wait was about 30 minutes to be seated. We started with Bavarian Pretzel Rods which got to our table quick along with our drinks. There were three large Pretzel Rods in the basket which was perfect for our group of three. The rods were soft and warm and pulled apart nicely for dipping. The rods came with a somewhat watery white cheddar dip which was not what we expected and not appealing, but edible. Our entrees took a long time to arrive, and we shivered in the cold while waiting even with two outdoor heaters near us. We dined on the Blue Ridge Burger, Cheddar Burger, and and Artichoke 'Crab Cake' Sandwhich. The Artichoke 'Crab Cake' Sandwhich was the most unique, and satisfying. We like to try creative menu items and this was one that shined. It tasted like actual crab yet was completely vegitarian, which vegitarians I'm sure would enjoy. It was a good option for my wife who is allergic to beef and pork. While the Crab Cake sandwhich stood out the others were just burgers, nothing amazing about them, but they were good. Unfortunately our fries became cold not long after they arrived on our table from the chilly weather and inadequate heat. Service was slow, no refills offered, and check took a while, and since we wanted to get off the cold patio faster swifter service would have been wonderful. I paid with cash and didn't wait for change because my fingers were frozen. We may stop there when it's warmer for the Artichoke Crab Cake Sandwhich again, but we may also find a better overall experience somewhere else. (My suggestion is that they enclose their patio with a retractable clear tent. Other restaurants have enclosures, and retract the covering during the warmer months.)"
"Tasty lunch and the wall decor is an hour of entertainment. Lol Our food was delicious. Great fries although the sweet potato fries were not as good as the regular. Beautiful view outside if you choose to sit out there. Looked like they had heaters but we came in to warm up. Took a while to get our food but we were hungry when we arrived. Large portions fyi."
