"I really enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket, I did not like the collard greens or cole slaw, I found the collards too sweet without enough vinegar to balance, the slaw was not sweet enough and missing the vinegar kick. My dining partner had the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. I will definitely be back"

"We had a great experience at Firebox55. It has the best atmosphere for a BBQ restaurant in the Eastern panhandle. I'd rank it as the best tasting place BBQ in the eastern panhandle. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. They had neat unique options to try such as smoked fried Gouda. The brisket was moist, well cooked with a great smoke. The smoked wings had decent flavor. The macaroni and cheese was a great mix of cheese. The burgers had a good mix of beef and were moist. The Appalachian beans were wonderful. The smoked chicken was moist and tender. They have a children's menu for 12 and under which was reasonably priced. There were a decent choice of sauces. They came with a color coded card labeling what they were that matched with each sauce container."

"Incredibly friendly staff. The wait was not long for either drinks or food. Their quick house-made pickles are really good. Their BBQ sauces are definitely vast and good! Loved the atmosphere and the food. First time in the area and just fell in love. Definitely plan on coming here again if in the area."

"We thoroughly enjoyed a late weekday lunch eating outside on their deck under a shady umbrella. Our food was very tasty and we enjoyed a beer on tap. The butterscotch pudding was outstanding! It was actually the texture of flan more than pudding which I loved. The service was friendly and efficient. The items on the menu are chef inspired, I just wish there were more options on the menu! Will definitely be back."
