Reviews of Subway
"Been stopping at this subway for years because it’s the only one convenient on a route I frequently take. The shorter woman who always wears a bandana is just the worst. She is constantly incredibly condescending and talks to to everyone whether it’s customers or other employees. She is so mean to other employees (which are always new people and I’m assuming it’s because everyone quits because of her). I feel terrible for these kids who are often young enough that it’s likely their first job. She speaks to them like they have an iq of 0 in front of all the customers and I’m sure it’s very humiliating/embarrassing for them. The ironic thing is that it’s typically HER making things difficult for everyone else involved. I am confident every single one of these kids (that have likely quit because of her) would all have made my food better, faster, and overall gave me a better experience if she hadn’t been there. She also never looks up at any of the customers when talking so it becomes very confusing when she asks incredibly generic questions like “how many are you getting today?” and nobody knows who she’s talking to. Third, she is sooooo stingy with every ingredient on your sandwich. If you order steak, she literally pulls it out with a spoon (I’m assuming is standard subway size protocols) but she knocks the steak off until the spoon is half empty and shorts you. Never actually gives the double cheese that is included with the #1 Philly. And might give you one or two peppers. But then is INCREDIBLY liberal with sauces so when you try to eat it, it’s just the biggest mess of a sandwich. Another thing is that almost every time I go there she has to fill at least one ingredient from the back (which involves a nice eye roll and audible sigh from her) and takes way longer than it seems it should. The fact that is so often she needs to fill things though makes me think she waits to refill things until they are needed instead of during times where there are no customers present. Probably likes doing it this way as it gives more opportunity to give people attitude. It is crazy that someone can be soooo bad at their job and in general just an awful person and still be employed. I hope she gets the therapy or help she needs."
"Person behind the counter was having a bad day when we stopped by on Friday while driving. She appeared very irritated and upset even though we had just got there. Otherwise everything else was normal. Would definitely visit again."
"Terrible one person working not the sharpest tool in the shed . Waited for a half-hour to get Waited on. Guy before me Waited longer."
"Absolutely awful experience. I stopped at the Worthington, PA location at around 1:30pm on 7/27/2023. The lady running the counter asked the customer in front of me if his sub would be all. He replied yes, then she started making his order. While making his order she received an online order and dropped everything and started making the online order. Eventually I realized she wasn’t planning on taking my order so I politely waited until she came back over and I said “I’m going to have a spicy Italian”. She got all bent out of shape and said “I thought you only wanted one sandwich?” And she pointed to the customer in front of me. I said “we’re not together, I haven’t ordered yet” she sighed, rolled her eyes and got out the bread to make my sub. She then proceeded to start putting cheese on it without asking me what kind of cheese I wanted. I spoke up and said “could I please have pepper-jack?” She again looks at me with disgust and says “you didn’t tell me you wanted any changes!”. At this point I’m upset by her rudeness and also confused because In every occasion that I’ve ever been to subway, they ask you what you would like on the sub as they build it (as far as cheese and toppings), she did not. So now she puts my sub in the toaster (without asking if I wanted it toasted), then she proceeded to almost accidentally charge the customer in front of me for a sub he didn’t order (one of the online orders). Finally My sub comes out of the toaster and she didn’t ask me at all what I wanted on it and she started loading it up with stuff that i didn’t want. I thought maybe she was making that sub for one of the online orders since she didn’t even look at me or ask me what I wanted on it before she started putting stuff on it. Then a few minutes later she gives me a total. I tell her “But I haven’t even told you what I want on my sub?..” She gets really ugly with me and looks at me like I’m dumb. I spoke up and said “I’m sorry but this is just not the way I’m used to subways making the subs. I’m used to them asking me what I want on it as they make it. She says “this is the way it’s always been!” Rollers her eyes again and sighs and goes back over to remake it and says “now I’ll remake it and you need to tell me exactly what you want this time” in a real sassy and passive aggressive manner like if I’m dumb. I told her just forget it and walked out. This has been the worst subway experience I have ever had. This lady was rude from the beginning and apparently doesn’t know how to do her job very well. It almost seemed like she was trying to mess it up on purpose. Very disappointed"
"My husband and I went in there and he was going to order and I was going to use the restrooms. The lady behind the counter said I couldn't get the key for the restrooms until he ordered and paid for his sandwich. The woman in front of us said all she wants to do is get the key to use the restrooms and the lady behind the counter said when I take their order order and it's paid for she could use the restrooms. Are you kidding me and we walked out. I understand the restrooms are for customers only which we were a paying customer."
