"Great hike this morning! The weather was beautiful!"
"Great trail right along the river. Lots of fun creek crossings and a cute little waterfall along the way. We parked at parking lot C and took a bunch of stairs down to the path, turned left, and after that the trail was relatively flat. Parts of the trail were flooded so we had to find ways around it but the bluebells were absolutely worth it! Overall a great experience"
"Great escape from the city, directly off of the GW Parkway. You are able to step up to the Potomac, but also into the trails off of it. Fairly easy, but there is a steep decline, with stairs, so for some it's a bit more challenging. For most, it's not bad at all."
"Beautiful trails thru the woods and down to the Potomac River. At least one water crossing to get to the Potomac Heritage Trail, so be sure to wear good shoes! Super friendly and helpful staff at the Park Headquarters. Restrooms in a small separate building (didn't use, but do seem to be serviced regularly)."
"It's medium high trail. A lot of rocks, mud, and streams that you need to climb over. Turkey Run trail that connects to the Potomac River got flooded and we weren't able to pass by. A lot of bugs since it's close to water and some dead animals on its path. But the stairs and chairs were very well maintained. Plenty of parkings."
