"My mom and I had booked appointments for cut and colors. We live an hour away so we were hopeful the drive was worth it - it was! Shelby Smith did my hair and Stephanie did my mom’s! Both stylists were very personable and asked numerous times how we liked the color as they went through the process. The salon was very warm/inviting and all of the staff made us feel welcome. Additionally, I can appreciate that estimates were given before starting- and they even came in under the estimate. Both of our hair colors turned out great! We will be back.. Thanks ladies!"

"Overall, I recommend Shine Studio as a whole as when I entered the person who checked me in was incredibly helpful and kind. The studio was clean, well decorated, and felt incredibly close-knit while also feeling high-end. There were plenty of conversations happening and everyone seemed comfortable/happy. I just maybe would not book with Leah if you want to be treated as more than just a chore. It's been about a year since I last got a haircut since moving to MD because I have anxiety, and finding a good hair studio in a town I'm not familiar with can be difficult. I was looking forward to this as I have heard great things, and finally got the gumption to book a standard cut appointment just to see how the vibes were before doing my usual services, and my stylist was not welcoming at all. Leah was quiet, didn't say a word to me aside from "What do you want done?" and "Does your hair need washed?" I just felt like a chore for her to run through quickly for the whole 30 minutes I was there, and I don't know why. I tried to be friendly and start a little side conversation, but nothing came of it, by the end of the haircut I just wanted to leave as quickly as I came in. The haircut itself was pretty standard, she did a good job on it and can't complain on that front."

"Quite disappointed after I read such great reviews. The inspiration I had shown Leah, the stylist was very defined layers and curtain bangs. I literally walked out with the same hair cut I came in with, only difference was it was styled. I had several people ask me if I even had it cut because they knew what I had asked for. Highly disappointed. The staff was friendly but the quality of the cut and service was poor. Not worth the money they charge. Don’t waste your money here."

I change my mind every time I come in and she listens to me and makes me feel amazing again by the end of my appointment!!"
