Hart-Miller Island State Park is a 1,100-acre island located in Baltimore County on the Chesapeake Bay near the mouth of Middle River. Originally two separate islands, Hart and Miller, were joined by a dike in 1981 to create the current island. The park offers a variety of recreational activities such as boating, camping, and birdwatching. The western shore features a sandy beach and safe mooring for boats. The park also includes Hawk Cove and Pleasure Island, providing additional opportunities for outdoor fun. The park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset, with camping available from May 1st to September 30th. Registered campers are allowed on the island after sunset.

"It's nice but the mosquito problem was terrible millions of them over 100 in the tent even covered in Deet mosquito repellent and we where very careful to keep the door closed. We even slept on the boat after we moved away from the island and they followed us. Horrible experience"
"Beautiful day to be at the island. Sandy bay floor is great for hanging out and swimming. 30 boats around. Water temperature was nice. In low 70’s . My dog loves the beach."
"Great place for kids to break loose and just have fun with family and friends , only Accessible by boat , camping is $ 6:00 per camp site 6 person max per camp site , hiking and bike trails , call to confirm being everything is always changing due to Covid ."
"Awesome state park. Not accessible by car** Water is brown and will stain whatever you wear in it so be advised! Lots of boaters come here. Fun, fun ,fun!!"
"Beautiful tranquil hidden gem island where your family can camp for 5.00 a day and practically have the island to yourself. Just bring a lot of bug spray and dont leave food out unless you want racoons in your tent. Theres an overlook tower with amazing views."
