Patterson Dog Park Baltimore, MD 21224
About the Business
Patterson Dog Park, located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, is a popular park for dog owners to bring their furry companions for some off-leash fun. However, recent incidents of aggressive behavior from some dogs have raised concerns among park-goers. One dog was attacked, leaving bite marks on its neck, and the owner of the aggressive dog left the park without providing vaccination information.
To address these issues, the Patterson Dog Park Association (PDPA) has implemented a list of rules for the off-leash park, including requirements for dogs to be non-aggressive and fixed. Despite these rules, there have been reports of off-leash dogs causing problems, with one incident almost resulting in an attack on a park visitor. Unfortunately, the park ranger has been unresponsive to these concerns.
If you encounter any issues at Patterson Dog Park, such as aggressive dogs or off-leash behavior, it is important to report them to the appropriate authorities. The PDPA is working to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all park visitors, so that everyone can continue to have a positive experience at this beloved dog park.

"Imagine being an idiot like that Leroy guy and thinking other people are the problem and not their dog. If your dog attacks others, don't come to the dog park or you are getting animal control called."
"The dog owners don't follow the POSTED RULES. I have a white rednose pitbull who is resource protective i.e. food, toys, treats, etc. I ALWAYS take my dog around the fence so he can smell and greet the other dogs before being let loose in the park and scope out to see if any toys are left on the ground and if there are I kindly ask other pet owners to pick them up and put them away and they usually oblige my requests. However the past 3 times I went there I had to repeatedly remind a few owners not to throw balls or anything that makes one dog feel like he is getting individual attention. This woman told me that those rules printed literally on every entrance were not accurate and are more like "guidelines." So I feel no remorse that her dog got hurt. The rules are in place to make sure both pets and their owners are safe and have a good time. If you follow the rules, it is an amazing place with lovely and loving doggies with amazing owners who are sharing, and caring. Please follow the rules that were put in place by people that know better than you how dogs think and act. Follow me at @leroyk._ on IG"
"Awesome dog park. Contoured with faux hills, this park offers separate gated sections for large and small pups. Upon entering, you'll find dog toys and other supplies neatly displayed for the taking. There's a water source and in the summer a few plastic pools you can fill. Lots of nice benches so seeing the perimeter. It's clean, a real gem!"
"This park has just enough space for dogs to run around. Generally clean. Friendly pet owners. I felt like my dog was safe with the size separation and two-gate system."
"This dog park is a blessing in this city! My pup loves being able to run around and play with other dogs. 99% of dog owners pick up after their dogs & are friendly. -1 star because: The water fountains break often, so it’s smart to bring some water for your pup just in case. Beware of careless dog owners who bring treats & dog toys into the park. Most dogs are socialized but I have ran into an aggressive dog who put its mouth around my dogs head - the owner was holding it by the color right near the entrance & I didn’t realize that was because the dog was potentially a threat to the other pups."
