"I came home for winter break from college. In comparison to TV Nails, I typically get my nails done for the same price in New York State for $45 and they last 5-6 weeks. I didn’t want to drive to Morgantown to my usual place for when I’m home because I was in a time crunch and needed my nails done ASAP. If you want quality acrylics, do NOT go to TV Nails and just make the trip to Morgantown. They apply the acrylic so thin that my thumb nail broke off three days after getting them done, and my pinky nail lifted after five days. All my nails were an uneven size and you could see the cuticle filing from previous fills but TV Nails blamed the transparency on the base coat of the nails, even though a thicker acrylic application would have simply fixed it. I spoke up and asked for one of my nails to have another coat of acrylic because it was too thin. He tried to convince me the rest of my nails did not need an additional layer because they were already thick (they were not). He did not yet file my acrylics either, so my nails ended up even thinner after they were filed. The tips were too thick, done sloppy, and uneven. Additionally, I had a cat scratch on my finger that he attempted to file until I spoke up and said “that is a cat scratch” and he stopped trying to file my skin. When I went back to have my thumb and pinky done, I believe he almost didn’t redo it. I stated I pay the same price in NY and they last longer, which I now realize likely offended him. He redid my two nails but made my thumb nail drastically different, as the color, shape, and size are not the same. He also pulled the acrylic off my thumb with cuticle nippers. The corner of my thumb nail started to bleed. Overall, I’m very irritated by this experience. I pay for my own nails, despite not making a lot of money as a college student, as a way to treat myself. I feel cheated out of my money and know I will have to get my nails redone next week when I return to campus."
"Took our 4 girls here, ages 7 through 13. We had a great experience! The girls all got exactly what they had asked for and we were only there for a little over an hour! Highly recommend!"
"Had a really great pedicure here, i am not from the area and decided to stop in and try when i was visiting. Great pedicure and purchased their best pedicure (deluxe) for $50 and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone it was seriously such a great pedicure. My only piece of advice is to use the sanitizing bags in the pedicure soaker. It kind of made me feel weird but regardless it was a great pedicure. I am sure they sanitize it after every use?"
"DO NOT GO HERE! If you’re from out of town and you’re thinking about getting your nails done, WAIT until you get home. Not only did I wait for 2 hours to get my nails done, but it was hands down the worst fill in I’ve ever had done. I got a pedicure as well, however, they didn’t have bags to cover the feet bowls and did not sanitize the bowls after each person use. They had limited selection for nail colors and they are so short staffed that the technicians were running back and forth in between jobs to do nails. To TOP IT ALL OFF, the price was $85 for a simple fill and basic pedicure. This is more than I have ever paid anywhere. (Which wouldn’t have been that big of a deal, IF the service was good). I just signed my bill and left because after sitting there for 2.5 hours, I didn’t wanna deal with it. If you can, DO NOT GO HERE and don’t make the mistake that I did."
"I came in for a gel manicure. First off, when I walked in.. the two employees were sleeping on the front area seating together. They were stunned to see me waiting to get my services done. I picked this lavender purple color, and wanted them matte as well. My gel came out completely lumpy and clumpy and she painted my pinky FINGER not only my nail. I asked her if she could fix it, she refused. As I was in a bit of a rush in time, I told her when I came back I’d be coming back for a refund and she and her fellow employee told me it was just how my fingers are… will never go here ever again and I will poorly rate them every chance I get."
