"Lots of trash on the ground around the park, swings are missing, also found a used needle close to the equipment. Nice location with great views of water but 0 groundskeeping"
"It’s disrespectful and disheartening to see how nature can be maintained so poorly here. Why is this pond at Hillcrest Park so neglected filled with so much disgusting trash? CITY officials do better!!"
"I really like this park. I usually take a walk around the pond. I love that they have a pavillion. The trees make it so much better. There usually are ducks, geese, turtles, fish and in the summer I saw some weird jellyfish looking things. They have a playground."
"I've always adored the pond full of fish but lately there's a lot of dumping which is gross & lazy. It's always peaceful to feed the ducks amongst the clouds of Weed smoke that waft thru occasionally. I've come here all my life, library, which I love, is right next to the park."
"A nice little playground to let the kids burn some energy. Lots of large trees so a good portion is shaded depending on the time of day. One really neat thing was that they have a sign with ASL on it and I think that a really neat teaching tool for kids! There is a small lake behind the playground and there is access down to it but it is fenced so there is only one access part with stairs. You definitely have to Keep an eye on kids though because of the water and potential for falling down steps and into lake. There is also a small shelter house with about 6 picnic tables meaning it would be good for a quick lunch break also. -No restrooms that I saw. -No water fountains. -Mostly for older kiddos (sign says 5-12) but my 15mo old was able to play on the play equipment no problem."
