"Made an appointment to see the dentist here about my TMJ. This was stated on my initial call with the office manager at 21st Century Dental. This was also stated on the “new patient” paperwork I filled out electronically prior to my visit. When I arrived to the office I was brought into the xray room to get imaging on my jaw done. While standing next to the X-ray machine I was informed that they required me to have a cleaning done first. I informed them that wasn’t the reason for my visit. They knew this because it was discussed on the phone and in my new patient paperwork. Also, due to my TMJ, I cannot even open my mouth wide enough for a cleaning. Upon telling the office manager this, she informed me I would be placed on the “do not schedule” list. I was then asked to leave and informed they don’t “deal” with TMJ… This simply isn’t true, as not only did they know that was the only reason for my visit but it’s also stated on their website that they do in fact “deal” with TMJ… there’s a giant link on their website about it. I needed this appointment as I am in severe pain. Simply put… I scheduled an appointment, I showed up for the appointment, and I was then kicked out for refusing to get something done that I did not schedule and could not open my mouth enough for. I have already filed a formal complaint with my insurance provider. I will also be filing a complaint with the state dental/medical board as soon as possible. No patient should be treated like this. I will make sure the proper complaints are filed so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. EDIT: in response to your response. I absolutely did mention that I could not open my mouth. I stated this in my initial phone call with the receptionist. I did not refuse to take my mask off, I asked that when I did, if the dentist would be masked because I have severe immune problems. I received an answer of “yes”. I don’t see an issue there. You are flat out lying about the dialogue that occurred in the office. I did get upset on the phone because the receptionist started to actually yell at me. It’s clear from other reviews on here that she is like this with other patients as well. This is the same employee that I initially spoke with in the phone. She absolutely knew about my TMJ. THAT WAS THE WHOLE REASON FOR MY VISIT. I could’ve went somewhere else and not still be in pain right now. She lied to me and said you guys do not treat TMJ. Your website says otherwise. Not only did all this occur, but you are now on here lying about what happened. Read the other reviews on here. I definitely was not the problem in this situation. I will continue to file the appropriate complaints with the state and my insurance provider. I am still sitting here in pain, having to wait to find another dentist and then wait to actually see that dentist. You’ve waisted my time and have caused me to experience this pain for longer than expected."
"Dr. Friedman and his staff are wonderful, with 1 one exception that ruin my experience, Elaine the office manager. She is extremely rude, as others have said. I was trying to work out a bill that my insurance always pays, but for some reason in this office didn’t. When trying to explain something to her, she was condescending, didn’t let me finish my sentences and talked over me. Elaine is cut throat nasty. She should not be dealing with patients. Whether she is right or wrong in her assessment, her attitude is disturbing. You can tell by the way she responds to negative comments on here as well. Too bad the dentist is top notch. Hopefully he will find someone better. If you don’t have to deal with the office manager, you will be fine."
"At 21 st Century Dental Care I experienced very good care. Doctor Friedman and his team is very professional and everyone is very friendly. I can say I like to go to my Dentist."
"Amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I always feel at ease and well taken care of when I come here. I would recommend 21 at Century Dental Care to anyone looking for a wonderful dentist. I’ve been coming for the past 8 years and moved 5 years ago and will never change my dentist! I rather commute far than change! Highly recommend!!!!!"
"Good afternoon, I tried to get into this clinic, the reception staff is very rude to communicate. As a result, I don't even want to come to them You can respond as much as you like to reviews that you communicate sweetly and correctly, and everyone is rude to you, and you are angels. But read the reviews that write about how you communicate at the reception"
