"When we got to the park, there was already a queue at the entry, so we decided to park there and walk to the lake. From the gate, you can take the Old Pond Trail, and then continue on the Seneca Creek Greenway Trail until it meets the Kingfisher Overlook. From there you can get onto the Clopper Lake Trail. There's a fair amount of human traffic."
"We did Clopper lake trail last winter. It was 2 hour trail not that challenging. Bit muddy as it had rained overnight. But the views were great and quite peaceful place. Not that crowded too but would love to visit here again next summer!"
"Admission: $5/person or free with annual MD park pass Attraction: 3.7 miles (2hour) trail around the lake with great foliage covering making this a great trail on lightly raining days. Beautiful hike with views of the lake for the majority of the trail. Boat Rentals: $12/hr to rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat rental. Beautiful lake to boat around. On weekends at 2:00 they offer pontoon rides for $2 Picnic: great picnic areas and shelter houses distrivute throughout the park. Especially around the Germantown Tire Playground. Parking: recommend parking at the Germantown Tire Playground or the boathouse for easy lake trail access"
"Came on an early weekday and I was one of the few on the lake. Very peaceful and quiet. I didn’t notice much of any pollution around and the wildlife was very active. Even saw a beaver! Didn’t catch any fish this trip but this is one of the prettiest lakes I’ve been to so far, as a nature-lover. As far as I can tell, there’s an entrance fee on the weekend. There’s watercraft rentals, but if you bring your own there’s a hand launch ramp, so no need to worry about boat traffic around it. The fishing dock looked decent but maybe not when it’s busy. It appears there’s a trail that goes around the entire lake and looks really nice. It’s pretty active and I think a bird watcher would really benefit."
