Reviews of Culp's Hill
"The tower is awesome but a little unnerving if you have issues with heights. It’s perfectly safe and has lots of small children up there and families. You can see Big and Little Round Top as well as the town of Gettysburg. There is plenty of parking and hiking trails nearby with other markers near trenches and natural fortifications around the hill. Definitely fun to walk around and see everything."
"Always an excellent spot on the battlefield. Better now that the restoration project is complete."
"It was great to be able to climb the tower to see the sights. In the center of the tower was an guide so the visitors knew what they were looking at."
"Absolutely amazing view of Gettysburg! Was so glad we went back and climbed to the top. I believe it was 97 steps to the top and they are nicely spaced and wide enough for those going up and those coming down. Only thing that I would say was bad was the fact that there was SOOO many wasps, bees and hornets at the top. As a person who's allergic I just had to stay calm and make my visit to the top a little shorter. Would I do it again? 100% every time I visit! The view would definitely be worth it! Also if my mom can do it you can too! She took her time getting up but said the She was so happy she did it because of the amazing view!"
"I had never been here before. Not that I could remember. I stopped here briefly after I picked up my son in Gettysburg at college. We only had a few hours of daylight so we just swung by. I found it very well laid out and easy to follow the driving path. There were a lot of things to stop and look at and the facilities were excellent. It's hard to believe in a major war in the United States was fought here just 160 years ago"
