Gambrill Mill, located at Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick, Maryland, is a historic site that was once a successful flour mill owned by James H. Gambrill in the 19th century. The mill, also known as Araby Mill, was a thriving operation that produced up to sixty barrels of flour per day at its peak. Despite being used as a field hospital during the Battle of Monocacy, Gambrill managed to keep the mill running smoothly with the help of his dedicated staff.

"Great with family or just enjoy your self. 2 minutes from the mail and many restaurants. If you are going. That’s many tour number. This one is #4. No coat. But it’s used for training also. A woodland boardwalk for everyone there to take a walk. Can see the bridge over the river."

"This is kind of a secret spot. Not listed when you search for parks, unnamed road…the water is very rocky so make sure you bring water shoes if swimming. Good place to fish as well. Nice and shady. Love!!"

"Love this place! Not only is it Historically important but it's like walking through a country meadow. Then halfway through, you can go down to the river where you'll find a small beach are with shallow water Great for the kid and dog... Hubby too and there's plenty of fish to catch!"

"We visited here for the monthly twilight hike in June, and we had a great time! The ranger leading the hike was knowledgeable, humorous, and understanding: He let people use their knowledge of the plants/history first before he would teach us. In other words, it was more interactive and far less condescending. The trail was short but full of floors and birds to see. Seeing the meadow at various light levels during sunset was interesting to behold. Definitely go on these hikes in the future!"
