Cunningham Falls lake beach

Cunningham Falls Lake Beach, located at 14358 North Beach Circle in Graceham, Maryland, is a popular destination for outdoor recreation and relaxation. Managed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Maryland Park Service, the beach offers a picturesque setting for swimming and sunbathing.

Please note that swimming is currently prohibited until Memorial Day Weekend 2023. From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, swimming is permitted in three designated areas of Hunting Creek Lake. Visitors can swim at their own risk when lifeguards are not on duty, as lifeguard schedules are not consistent.

Pets are not allowed on the sandy beaches or in the lake during the designated swimming season. Lifeguards are on duty every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with limited coverage on Mondays. Swimming at the falls is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

To ensure a pleasant visit, it is recommended to arrive early as the park often reaches capacity by mid to late morning on weekends and holidays. If the park is full, visitors will be turned away.
