"Bedbugs bedbugs need I say more. Wife and I stayed hear for the location . It was near where we needed to be the next morning. Wife came home and she was ate up... hands, neck , and arms. People say not a luxury hotel that is true.. outdated and very dirty looking. Hancock it seems to be coming alive and this place should step up its game."
"I don’t understand some of the reviews on here. The super 8 isn’t a luxury resort it’s a budget hotel and it’s pretty nice! The room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was biking to DC and they also let me keep my bike in the room which was a huge plus! Breakfast isn’t much but it’s free breakfast! I would stay there again if I was in the area for sure"
"Meh. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But the overall atmosphere is tired. Just spend some time and fix the small stuff. And for the love of all that is holy, stick to 1-2 paint colors. We also had no chairs in our room to go with the lovely table."
"This hotel has amazing customer service! Melissa and Dave at the front desk were both awesome! This hotel was clean and quiet. I will definitely be staying here again! This is a great place to stay if you are biking on the C&O Canal Towpath! Thank you so much!"
"My review is relative to what I expected from a budget motel in a small town. The Super 8 exceeded expectations. I opted for a motel after a 90+ mile day cycling the C&O. The road up to the hotel is not pleasant (not their fault) and the facility is a bit worn (not the staff's fault). But, the welcome at the front desk was warm and helpful with a great recommendation to eat at Buddylou's. I was also told I could bring my bike in the room! Huge! The room was very clean and had a hot shower, which is all I really wanted. As a bonus the have a free breakfast. It's more of a continental+ breakfast (coffee, cereal, packaged pastry and bars) but, again, for a budget motel this was still very welcome. Lastly, and the reason for my five star review, I left a portable power pack in my room. The housekeeping staff found it and the hotel staff contacted me so I could e-mail them a prepaid shipping label. People might ding the hotel for being a bit dated but it was a happy, clean, and HONEST location."
