Reviews of SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North Shore
"Location is great, staff is nice. Rooms are outdated, shower barely worked and hotel couldn't keep up with hot water demand in the morning. Pool is poorly lit with man lights burned out. Gym had freeweights and a few treadmills. Parking is 27/night"
"Possibly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. As soon as I arrived I had problems with parking. If you have a larger vehicle, you're going to have trouble parking in their lot, and I'd highly suggest parking somewhere else. Especially with their outrageous parking fee of $25 per night. Entering the establishment it was loud and I was having trouble hearing the woman at the desk as she tried to explain the $100 potential damages fee they take from your card. I asked one too many questions and the employee snapped at me, yelling at me in front of the whole lobby. At this point I was considering finding a new hotel, but I'd already paid for my room so I was like "whatever, I'm only here for two nights, and things won't be as bad once I'm in my room right?" Wrong. Entering the room it was immediately clear that no care goes into cleaning the rooms. There was somebody's soda tab left in the sink, mold under the sink and in the refrigerator, and a nasty old rag sticking out from under the mattress. That's only a few of the things I witnessed in the room, all of which I made sure to document the first night just in case they tried to say I was the one who ruined the room to try and keep my $100 charge. In all, this hotel was a major letdown and I wouldn't stay here again even if the rooms were $5 instead of the outrageous $350 I spent for the poor quality. Reaching out to management won't help you either. Me and my friend who also booked a room there got the same copy and paste response from their email. Don't stay here if you have self respect. There's another hotel across the street."
"Loved my stay here! Room was much larger than I expected, everything was clean, bed was comfy. All good things. Only trouble point was the directions of where to pull in/parking/waiting area (in your car) is a little hard to find in the dark, but that's my only complaint which isn't really even a complaint because I just circled the block and figured it out eventually. But great location and I would definitely stay here again."
"Great staff!!! they found out it was our 10th wedding anniversary and they brought us some bottled water and snacks. I thought that was very sweet. Every member of the staff was friendly, especially the staff member who worked with the food in the morning. She is the most upbeat, perky, and positive human being I’ve ever met in my life."
"Stopped at the front desk to pick up an item that a friend had left while staying there. They were so helpful trying to track it down. After their search could not find the item I received a text from the friend that he sent me to the wrong hotel. Despite wasting their time, they offered me smiles and good luck and a bottle of water as I trudged to the correct location. I want to stay in this place just because of this great service."
