"A great hiking trail with beautiful scenery but lots of trip hazards like tree roots, jutting rocks & uneven ground. Wear good hiking shoes."
"I like the state park at Rocky Gap Md. Because we can walk to the beach, capstone, hiking, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking. All a short walkin from the camp sites. There is a dam to hike to. A camp store with snacks and supplies. It's a great easy camping trip."
"This place has a wheelchair accessible ramp right on the sand. Just as I was saying to my Son how wonderful that feature was, a woman in a wheelchair pulled up and was able to get down to the water to swim. It's a beautiful place."
"A wonderful are to hike and its pet friendly. From the amphitheatre coming back , its terribly bumpy. My butt was jack-hammered while riding my bike. It's like horses came through in a rain storm, pocking the terrain. I love it and we the community do assist in maintaining and upkeep of this natural treasure. Watch for 3-10" stumps, as bikers can hit them accidentally with their feet in the pedals. If camping at the state park, this trail goes through the campground that gives you trail access to enjoy most of what this park has to offer."
"Great hike along the lake shore. Always 10 degrees cooler than the Balt/DC area and the massive trees and breeze off the water make it delightful. The path is dirt, grass and rocks so wear some good shoes"
