"What an interesting camp. Trains + Highway Noise is legit. The river views were wonderful. No cellphone service. One toilet is a pit and the other is a chemical toilet. The C&O trail is part of the camp. It was an anxious kind of stay for me but not terrible. Would only do it again in a pinch, as I was when I picked the place. Skip a rock across the river and hit West Virginia!"
"Stayed in Camp site 9. The train sound is annoying as many have mentioned in the reviews. There's a small Rail Yard, looks like across the river, and the loud shunting sound in the night is very much disturbing. If you are looking for a peaceful resting place after a tiring day this is not the right camp site."
"Very pretty spot on the river & trail. Has a sort of campground, boat launch and small bathroom"
"Stopped to chill out while finishing out lunch. Relaxing. Lots of shade trees to sit under. Road noise was not bad. Clean and well taken care of. Bathrooms should be looked after a bit better."
"It’s adequate for a primitive campground, the price is right and the sites are plenty big enough for big or small groups. There are 2 port-a John’s and a well pump, there is no access to the river at the campsites. A couple drawbacks is very limited to no cell service and a lot of road noise and train noise making it difficult to get a good night sleep."
